Lotus Cortina "Armin Lorch"

Because of the relationship of the sales quantity of road vehicles and successes during auto races, Ford UK asked Lotus founder Colin Chapman to install a Lotus engine in a Ford Cortina with the aim of participating in car races. The Lotus Cortina went into production as from 1963 and immediately scored successes on racing and rally circuits. These days, the car participates in competitions of historical Tour and GT-trophy racing.

Audi quattro Sport S1 1000-lakes Rally 1985

Ref# 08337

The 530 hp Sport quattro S1 was easily recognizable by its spoilers and fins, providing the necessary drive and thus pressure force. It started for the first time in the Rally World Championships. During the 1000-Lakes-Rally in Finland the car was driven by the Swedish team Stig Blomqvist and Björn Cederberg (Rally World Vice Champion 1985) and easily won the second place.

Audi quattro Sport S1 Race of Champions 1988

Ref# 08336

Since public safety during rally championships was no longer guaranteed, Audi withdraw from the Rally World Championships in 1986. But the Audi Sport quattro S1 with its striking fins was still being driven during other races. Also during the world's first Race of Champions in 1988, which was easily won by fourfold world champion Juha Kankkunen, with 23 world rally victories and 76 rally prizes one of the most successful rally drivers ever.
