A moderate entry fee will be charged at each race location, determined by the race organizer. 7. Endurance race lengths and lane positions will be determined by the race organizer. 8. At the time of this writing, the following NINCO cars are the ONLY cars that can be raced: 50428 Mosler “Gulf”, 50442 Mosler “Daytona” and the Mosler Club Car #3; Toyota Supra “Castrol” 50459, Ascari's “Show Car” 50458, Ascari “Gigawave” 50444, Ascari “Hanscan” 50463 and Ascari Club Car #4, both Ferrari 360 Kits 50408 and 50409, Ferrari Prorace “Jara” 50455; and the Porsche 997 “Forum Gelb” 50445, “Road Car” 50446 and “Vellejo” 50464. 9. All cars must race with No magnets, must have the NINCO NC-6 “Speeder” motor and NINCO Shore A25 rear tires. 10. Race organizer at each location will issue an NC-6 motor and Shore A25 tires to each racer, assigned by draw to insure they are “as issued” by NINCO. 11. At the discretion of the race organizer, the cost to purchase the motor and tires can be combined in the entry fee or charged separately. 12. Cars can be raced stock or modified. Only NINCO parts made for that series car can be used on that car 13. Racers can bring their own cars & NINCO components, or purchase cars & components trackside 14. All participating racecars will be inspected to insure rule compliance prior to the start of the race. A few (determined by the race organizer) test laps will be allowed prior to final inspection. 15. Competitor’s cars will be impounded by the race organizer after inspection. At race time, the track marshals will set the cars in their appropriate lanes. Except for maintenance during “green” periods, the racer will not have access to his car until his racing is complete. The race organizer is free to check any participating car during the race (between rounds) and at its conclusion. 16. Painting the outside (and only the outside) of the car body is allowed. Windows must not be painted 17. The body must be the completed car body as issued by NINCO: no lightening, strengthening or trimming or adding weight. The rear wing, mirrors, windows, windshield wipers and all interior parts (cockpit, driver, etc) must be in place as issued by NINCO. The rear wing must be clean and can be glued to the body. It can be fixed to the body using adhesive tape (only if the vehicle breaks during the race and so long as it does not damage vehicle aesthetics or cause a change in the angle and the amount of down-force the wing provides. 18. The chassis must be strictly the chassis for that car series. No modification to any part of the chassis is allowed. However, you may replace chassis screws that hold the body to the chassis with NINCOI Prorace or any other type found within the slot car market so they may be loosened to allow the body to rock over the chassis. 19. The motor cannot be "glued" in a manner that adds strength or minimizes flex of the chassis... (i.e. running a bead of hot glue down the entire sides of the motor can that effectively makes the motor a part of the chassis). Minimal application of tape may be used to secure the motor. 20. All body parts, wings, mirrors, windows etc., must be in place at the race start. 21. Tires may be sanded/profiled, but must be recognizable as original NINCO tires. 22. No chemicals of any kind can be used on the tires. 23. Tires cannot be glued to the hubs (wheels) 24. Prorace wheels should include hubcaps & discs 25. Front axle length may be altered to reduce side-to side play. “Shims” cannot be used. In no case can the front axle assembled with wheels & tires hang more than 1mm over each side of the body. 26. The assembled rear axle with wheels & tires must not hang more than 1mm over the side of the body, except to allow for minimum “play” to enable the axle to turn freely without the inside of the hub rubbing against the chassis. (Race organizer will determine this requirement) 27. Wires & braids can be used from any 1/32-scale slot car manufacturer. 28. Slot Guide Flag must be the part from that car series, or the associated Prorace guide. The fork may be lowered a maximum of 1mm at the bottom and it’s thickness may be reduced to prevent it getting stuck inside the slot. Total or partial suppression of the active guide spring is allowed. 29. Bushings that are original equipment or the appropriate NINCO ball bearings can be used on the rear axle. A minimal amount of glue (that does not strengthen the chassis/axle supports) may be used to fasten the bearings. 30. Pinions and Crown Gears - Free choice of NINCO gears may be used, but must be in line with NINCO’s specifications. In no case may a pinion be used where the crown gear requires modification. The crown gear cannot be modified in any way that will change the “natural wear” of the gear 31. Once the race starts, a competitor can only “pit” his car, during actual racing or "green" periods. “Pit” means: cleaning braids, changing tires (rear Shore A25’s must be obtained from the race organizer), or putting the car back to running order after a crash that immobilizes the car. Track marshals will get the car for him and replace the car on the track at the location where the car was removed. The rear wing must be on the car at all times and be repaired and replaced. The racer will lose time and laps taken during these maintenance (Pit) periods. 32. Gear and tire size changes during “green periods” are not allowed. 33. Any recognized hand control (electric or electronic) on the market may be used so long as it does not include circuitry that boosts the power delivery to the car. Race management is free to check the controllers at any time during the race. It will be the responsibility of the individual racer to check and insure he has the correct polarity connections / alligator clips to interface his controller with the racetrack. 34. Any vehicle modification or manipulation of vehicle parts or attempt to circumvent the spirit of the rules set out in the present regulation is totally prohibited. 35. The voltage on the racetrack should be between 12-15 VDC. 36. Track Marshals - Participating drivers may be asked to carry out “Track Marshalling” functions. Track Marshals are required to place cars back in their appropriate lane after an accident, and remove objects from the track that might interfere with normal racing. The Marshal is required to warn drivers as appropriate about accidents in his sector of the track. Cars involved in an accident shall then be removed so they don’t obstruct the other drivers. Cars shall be returned to the track with the vehicle that caused the accident being the last one replaced. Vehicles that have had an accident shall be replaced on the first straight run following the accident site, a minimum distance of approximately 1 foot from the last curve. 37. The race organizer at each regional location will make the final decision concerning any rule infraction or discussion at his location during race day. 38. As overall NINCO race organizer in the USA, MRC retains the right to add, change, remove or amend any rule, it deems necessary. The passport offices are swamped... if you even have a remote interest in possibly racing at the National to be able to go to Germany, don't wait to get a passport... do it now!! 100% computerized race management and scoring for the National Race at JD Model Raceways will be controlled by the latest European WinSlot software, a DS300 Professional Series Lap Counter-Chronograph, with computer interface for instant statistics, race management and lane rotation information, immediate printouts and visual output into a large screen TV. Have fun at the Regionals and see you at the National…. |
