The Scalextric model
NASCAR has been a very popular theme in the Scalextric range for over 10 years and has built up an excellent reputation for providing high quality build cars, the very best level of decoration, robustness and exciting performance. The simple side-winder chassis design, rugged body exterior and detailed interior make this car a joy to race.
Scalextric will release two liveries of Dale’s 2008 team car. The National Guard livery (C2958) shown above and the AMP sponsored car (C2895)


History
Dale Earnhardt Jr. drives for the Hendrick Motorsports team, joining for the 2008 season. The two-time Busch Series champion and four time NASCAR most popular driver joined Kyle Busch in the Hendrick Motorsports stable. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is both blessed and burdened with one of the most legendary names in stock car racing history. As the son of the late NASCAR icon Dale Earnhardt, Dale Jr. has inherited his father's instincts and hard-charging driving style.
Sometimes known as "Little E," Earnhardt Jr., Dale very quickly became a NASCAR top runner from 1998 for the next ten years where he continues to battle for the NASCAR championship.

History
The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup is the international motor racing series supporting the FIA Formula One World Championship organized by Porsche AG. In Porsche Supercup, drivers in identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 997) cars based on the Porsche Carrera compete with grids of more than 24 race cars. The Burgfonds Porsche 997 was driven by Dutchman Patrick Huisman, elder brother or Duncan Huisman. Both are very successful drivers.

Morellato Racing Team PZ Essen The newly founded Morellato Racing team has established a clear goal for its debut year: On the list of wishes are victories, or at least podium finishes with drivers Richard Westbrook and Olivier Maximin and technical partner Jetstream Racing. Westbrook, the champion of the British Carrera Cup, is entitled to the role of a winning driver. After his change from Lechner Racing to the Morellato Racing Team PZ, the Englishman aims to repeat his previous victories.

History
This car is run by the ‘tolimit motorsport’. Amongst the German team from Lohne’s successes, driver Christian Menzel won the German Carrera driver and team championship. In the Supercup ‘tolimit’ ended up in position three. Second driver Richard Lietz became the Rookie of the Year.

The Scalextric model
Fantastic detail throughout the car with full interior cockpit detail including driver pace notes. The fine detailing and crispness of detail and decoration is, as you expect from Scalextric, the best in there is. The front mounted motor sits over a sprung guide blade which assists in keeping the guide in the slot! The four-wheeldrive drive train gives satisfying controlled cornering action.

History
From the legendary Escort to the modern Focus WRC, Ford has been a mainstay of the World Rally Championship since the early 1970s. The Scalextric model
The legendary Ford GT40 dominated the race tracks of the world in the years 1966 to 1969. The classic endurance race car won Le Mans four times in a row. Later on some veteran chassis came into the possession of devotees, who were able to make their GT40’s rise like a phoenix from the ashes. This model in racing green and yellow represents one of these renovated cars. The history behind the race number 40 remains a mystery.
