Carrera Digital RacingDuring the recent motorcycle Moto GP at Indianapolis I had several visitors for the race who were also slot car nuts and we decided to hold the first official race on the Ardenapolis Motor Speedway (I live on Arden Drive). We set up a fully tricked out Carrera Digital 32 set with pit lane, lap timer/computer, and a bunch of very nice Carrera buildings and accessories.

New Carrera Chassis Aston Martin Vanquish slot car review It was a slightly hazy morning when it rolled into town. It tried to slip in unnoticed, just like any other car, but those with a keen eye could tell... this was no ordinary stranger. This car was no looking to just blend in. It was looking to cause trouble. It wanted to upset the locals, scare the women and children, and make men question their manhood. It was a bad boy, a bully looking to steel a few titles. "King of the Hill" would be the ultimate prize.

Carrera Formula 1 Formula 1 is easily one of the most popular forms of racing world wide, and understandably there have been many slot cars representing the sport since it's inception. Carrera has been making Formula 1 cars for years, but lately have been overshadowed by recent releases from Scalextric, Ninco, and SCX.

I was excited to find out if these cars would stand up to what the other companies were producing, and could they hold their own on the track?

Aston Martin V12 Vanquish James Bond EditionCarrera has done a wonderful job of capturing the Vanquish in all it's glory. This isn't just a stock looking Vanquish labeled James Bond, Carrera has included all the goodies that makes this car a ride only 007 himself could drive. Included in the details are the guns on the hood, as well as the missile launchers and guns in the front grille. The car features the same license plates as the car in the movie; KEO2EWW. The finish is in a wonderful metallic silver gray, and there are many painted details to make this car stand out as a fine model.

Xenomotion Panoz LMPPainted up in the flavor of the Alien from the Alien series of movies, this car is one of the most eye catching releases from Carrera to date. Molded in brown and trimmed in tan, black and white, the car appears to have been hand painted, with the exception of the silver "Panoz" and number "7" tampos, as well as the silver "teeth" on the front. This is one cool looking car!

carrera jaguar d-type Carrera just keeps releasing classics. The latest Jaguar D-type is a model based on one that raced in the Mille Miglia in 1957, and many enthusiasts have been waiting for this one since its announcement. This 1/32nd scale model racing car has a certain flair to it, just as the race itself did.

Going back nearly 75 years ago a legendary road race, the Mille Miglia (mee-lay meel-yah) was run for the first time in Brescia, Italy.

carrera hemi cuda review One thing is certain, American muscle car fans have more to choose from than ever before, and Carrera just keeps adding to that selection. Adding to their already popular classic line-up comes the 1970 Hemi Cuda in all its street machine glory.

When it comes to muscle cars, one must include the old Mopars, how could you not? The 426 Hemi engine was certainly a horsepower lovers dream, and the Hemi Cuda certainly an icon in its day.

carrera porsche carrera gt review Carrera has certainly been trying hard lately to be taken seriously in the slot car market. With the recent release of the Bentleys and the upcoming releases of the 'Cuda and Camaro muscle cars, Carrera seems to be on the right track, at least as far as model choice goes. To add to the growing list of exciting new releases is the Porsche Carrera GT. Based on the $315,000 exotic car of which only 500 will be built, the Carrera model has a lot going for it right off the bat.
