Economy Controller - 45 OHM w/Scalextric plugby Franklin Nichols
Complete Home Set Slot Car Controller w/45 OHM Resistor and Scalextric track plug. Two piece handles are one of the following transparent colors - Clear, Purple, Red, Yellow or Blue.
| | | | | I was intrigued when offered the chance to review Parma's home set controller. The day it arrived in the mail, I took it straight away to my track area. It could not have been easier. l simply unplugged the stock controller and plugged in the new one. I have always found the Scalextric controllers to be less than adequate; they are small and have a toyish feel to them. I also found precise control was not one of its standard operating procedures. It also lacked a smooth pull on the trigger, it was more notched. These are all problems of the past for me now. The controller Parma sells has a velvet smooth pull, fits very well in my hand. I really relished the fact that it arrived with the proper plug installed for my track. I was, however, disappointed with the length of the cable. I would of rather of had a 5-6 foot lead from the controller to the track. I know this is not a top of the line controller, but my home is not a top-end raceway. I was looking for a reasonability priced replacement for the toyish Scalextric stock controllers. These are a great fit. I would recommend these to all home racers. They come in a few different OHM ratings and in a collection of colors. I am quite pleased with mine.
