  • NJ SCALE Racing race announcement: Saturday 02/22/14

NJ SCALE Racing will have our next monthly race on Saturday January 18, 2014 at The Race Place, Rt 33, Farmingdale, NJ. On Saturdays the raceway opens at 10am, racing to start at 12:00 noon, on weekdays the raceway opens at 6pm, racing to begin at 7:30pm. $10 pit pass for the day, $5 race fee per race.

Starting in November 2013 we are adding a second race date: the 2nd Thursday night of each month. Class(es) tba, as we are just getting this new date started, and we will see how many racers we get, and what types of cars we want to race.

On Saturdays we will have 3 races. We have 4 classes: 1/24 SCALE BRM Group-C, BRM Porsche 917, Scaleauto, and H&R Racing Hardbody. We will rotate 3 classes each month. 3 minute Sprint races on the Red Lightning track in the second floor loft. The pix below are of The Red Lightning track at The Race Place. The Hardbody class (H&R chassis, model kit body) includes: Trans-Am, IMSA/Group-5, Vintage Classics, Vintage Nascar , muscle cars/street rods/hot rods.

Race is open to the public. We have racers from New Jersey, Pa, Md and New York states race with us. Some of our racers are 1/32 plasticar racers who are racing on a commercial track for the first time, while others are commercial track racers who are racing 1/24 SCALE cars for the first time. So if you have yet to experience these 1/24 SCALE cars, come on down and check out our monthly races. We know you will be hooked after your first time racing these cars with us. Our races are both FUN and competitive.

Also- if you have any of the following types of 1/24 cars, bring them along for track time and a potential fun race: vintage 1960s-1970's era cars of all types, retro jaildoor, TSRF, BRM Megane, any other scale hardbody type of car built from a model kit.

...just a reminder, there's a conflict with the 4/21/12 race date, which had been previously scheduled for another race at NJ Speed Zone. Please advise regarding another race date. Thanks.

The 26th is no good for me. The month of June looks to be less busy on the weekends. Should be able to come out and race with you guys then.
