Mike and I had our own race, going back and forth with 2nd and 3rd place. Mike raced the new Sauber anglewinder, which was fast and looked great. With some more chassis tuning (and a few less crashes ) and I expect this car to take 1st place o a regular basis. Robert raced his Porsche 962 with the new anglewinder conversion chassis. Rob had some issues, yet did not give up on his car. I tried to get my own Porsche 962 with new chassis, but was not yet race ready. I was able to work on the car throughout the day, and finally got it running good. Only exception was the rear tires, causing a lot of wheel hop. So when I get it into the workshop I will look at the rear tires on my tire truer to see what is going on with them. I plan to race this car next month. I am not sure, but Mario may have raced a 962 with an anglewinder chassis. Martin's car is a Toyota anglewinder, my Toyota is an inline. Lou raced an inline 962.

    2nd race: Porsche 917

    1)Martin Dixon.......148 laps.......6.981126......yellow lane......
    2) Mike Burke.........147 laps......6.969083......yellow lane........**fast lap winner**
    3) Glenn Orban.......145 laps......7.191575......orange lane.........
    4) Robert Holt.........142 laps......7.137133......yellow lane
    5) Arron Moore........137 laps......7.078058......green lane
    6) Lou Esteves.........132 laps......7.688147......orange lane
    7) Mario Baskin........128 laps......7.358937......orange lane

This was our 2nd Porsche 917 race and this car has quickly become our group's favorite car. These cars perform great and are very consistent Compare the race results between these 2 BRM classes and it looks like the 917s are a bit faster. And the 917s appear to me evenly matched.
I was track testing my back-up car, a white kit, and it is getting there. Pix hopefully next month, if I can get it finished. BRM really stepped up their game with these Porsche 917s!!

thanks Martin for the correction, as I was not sure which chassis was in your fast Toyota. yes- Mike Burke is quite the contender now. And anyone can get on the podium- just keep it in the groove, balance the chassis, bulletproof the body for crashes, clean and round rear tires, and a podium finish is yours.

        Thanks for the pix Robert
