  • Help: Brand new DS31 Dead Strip not working

    Alan,

    Hope you read this.

I got a new dead strip DS31 from you and just now tried it. I'm using a DS200. One lane of the dead strip works perfectly, the other doesn't, and it has power going to the "dead part" of the lane! I figured all I needed to do was plug and play with the dead strip since they are both DS products. So do I need to configure the DS200 differently? HELP!

Thanks to Alan, here's the solution:

The DS31 dead strips that have the moulded orange connector may have the yellow wire connected to one of the tracks. This wire should be brown, not yellow. So, connect the brown wire to where the yellow wire is connected. I cut the yellow wire (away from the track rail) and spliced (pigtailed) the brown wire, no soldering necessary. It now works fine.

      We try to please.

Glad I could help you, and thank you for working with me.

DS Product is great, and usually very reliable, they messed up wiring your Dead Strip, glad we were able to figure it out working together and get you up and running again.
