  • Ninco Tron controller 10414 flashing red LED

I have 2 Tron controllers brand new, one works has a steady red LED, one does not and has a flashing LED red light. The manual says "short circuit", now what? I disconnected the matching terminal track 10416 (orange) from the track itself, to no avail. I searched the Forum found nothing.

        FIXED!
Solid RED light=Good (track power on of course)
        Flashing RED light=Bad
Here is what you need to do to fix.
-find reset button shown on manual above, BEHIND sliding cover and above dip switches
        -power on track
        -no cars on track
-hit reset button on gun/controller and press/hold for 2 sec (with paperclip)
-pull trigger to full throttle, push/hold reset button for 2 sec again
-RED light should be steady now. If not repeat.

The gun is actually worth all this effort. Why? frictionless (hall effect sensor).
Also one gun did not need all this programing, btw, worked out of the box.
The dip switches allow you to throttle power for kids?
The dip switches allow you to modify braking, none vs 80/90/100%.
Finally dip switches allow POLARITY...very, very important. My NINCO track requires dip1=reverse

Well the fix was not permanent. I would come to race and after turning power on the gun LED would flash red (bad). So enough is enough. 1 of the 2 guns works perfectly, so I ordered up a new gun. If this happens to you suggest returning the gun with a nice youtube video showing one gun works and one does not.

Controller extension? Yes I bought ebay extensions with big 6.35mm or 1/4" jack 1 meter long and yet they don't work on the 2 Ninco Tron 10414 controllers, what gives?

Helpful electric drawing for Ninco 10414 controller

Helpful for making extension cables, see attach.
