    I own the older model SC-5040 tire truer and I can find replacement belts model# SC-5073b for the new model tire truer (SC-5072). will the SC-5073b belts fit my older machine? anyone out there know??

    Yes the belts will work.

    You can also check out Hardware Stores for o rings.
    The right sizes there will work well. I often use o rings as belts.

      Most of the time the belt IS an O ring. A hardware store might have the right size, McMaster-Carr would for sure.

        thanks guys, having a hard time matching the O-rings as I do not know the size number. I know McMaster sells them but what numbers?

          I have a Hudy machine and the bigger belt on that is 3/32 inches in width by 1 9/16th inch OD. That would be McMaster-Car number 94115K126 for a neoprene O-ring. I presume that your old belt is not in great shape, it is likely to have stretched, but you could measure that and buy the next size down. McMaster-Carr sells a minimum order of 100, You might want to see what a hardware store has before you order something. Hopefully someone out there in Cyberland will post the correct size for your machine.

            Auto part stores generally have a assortment of O rings also.
