  • thanks Mr Flippant for bringing up problem elsewhere

Have been unable to post there which probably makes some happy.

But topic of failed 1.09 lap counter is vital to solve with mine having occurred out of box with stock base.

    Watching this closely.

Out of box Stock base is not 1.09 - you Will have to upgrade first.

Gorp, are you saying that your unmodified (except for the firmware which is supported by Hornby under warranty) APB has the same problem as mine, where only one lane will count laps and you have verified that there has been no damage to the sensors in the track?

This was the first one I had here

It came out of the box with NO upgrades.
No lap counting on one lane on day one.
Called them and cleaned sensor as instructed.
Was told they had had previous experience with this problem
but did not go into cause when I asked.
My apb was sent back to them and they sent me another with 1.09.
Believe they then only had a couple units left in stock.
Now only have pia getting analog going same direction.
Of course with cars running both ways, it would be easy to set up a demo derby,
which young kids might like (hint for your business use) and sell more scaly toys.

Is it just me or is gorp's parlance extremely difficult to follow?

So your original one had the problem, and you have a warranty replacement that came with 1.09 (this is common), which counts laps in both lanes, but you haven't been able to get the analog mode to have the cars both going in the same direction?

Used the method you advised several years ago to guy with same analog problem

by pressing its lane change button several times after selecting lane.

So figured would remove lane change button from a pair of controllers and then swap them into keep them that way.

Do believe mentioned that while back when posting apb experience and you said was difficult to fix.

Anywho (trying not to be too parlanced), to make a short story longer still, gitting it done with old way runnin still aint easy so stuck them slots in box till hootnhollerin over revell .

                UPDATE

Tried again today with same results (obvious insanity) and took 40 minutes to run both lanes analog in one direction.
Need to practice to get time down and
apb will still make a great back up for glad even if arc pro is no show.
