    Ah...

A good start. Hopefully they will figure out a way to reduce that unsightly part line on the front deck. I have confidence in our man in Italy.

        Sorry,

Personally I think this car is stunning and for around $50.00.

        WOW

Maurizio, you have done it again, great work.

        Cheers

          Re: Ah...

As much as I can't see the part line that Mick is referring to, I'm still wondering how far away is the Lancia?

But sure, the Sauber is sweet (for a non-Lancia.....)

          Cheers, Tony.

            Bov:

The upper surface of the nose on the Slot.It prototype car is a separate piece with a rather distinct parting (joining?) line with the rest of the nose.

On the actual car this part is bonded to the rest of the nose and there is no gap in evidence.

Molding this without a seam in production injection molding would be all but impossible; Tamiya was unable to do it and I feel they are/were the masters of making tooling such as this.

I am hopeful that this gap can be reduced through some clever means; I have faith that the craftsmen at Slot.It can accomplish this.

So help me out here boys, is this the car that my guy Micheal Schumacher ran in one of the LeMans 24 hour races back in the 80's, or am I way off base?

This car really does look like it is goig to be a huge seller for Slot.It again. Hurry up and get that puppy on the shelves M.

                    Schummi

Gordo: I would have to check the race reports but I seem to remember MS driving this 1990 Sauber-Mercedes C11 in the WEC:

I also seem to recall that Mercedes withdrew from LM that year so MS was unable to drive in the 24 hours.

Was this about the same time Schumi stole Frentzen's girlfriend?

Oh thanks for that tidbit Vanski. The guy makes one little mistake and... I mean in NASTYCAR the driver are stealing each others cousins all the time and no one seems to have a problem with that eh! >D

                              Gordo:

                              No, the Slot.It car is a Sauber-Mercedes model C9. The other is a C11.

The differences are more apparent in person.
