Is Slot.It planning a car that will use these pinions?

Nice to see a 1.5 mm from slotit which will match their crown wheels.
The ff motor/BWA bracket/slotit crown combination just got sweeter.

These pinions Just mesh a little better with the Slot It gears than some of the other brands.
These low powered motors need all the help they can get!

Is there going to be an additional attachment for the slot it gear press /puller ?

            Good question.....

I use a puller with a suitable shaft size I think it was a train item as I have seen them in BC Shavers and Hobbies while visiting the shop.

Until Slot.it comes out with a puller for the pinions for a 1.5mm shaft, the one I use is made for R/C helicopter gears, and is called the GWS Gear Puller Tool Micro (pins for 1.0, 1.5, and 2mm shafts).

If you plan to use a 1.5mm shaft motor with Slot.it crown, I suggest trying the 1.5mm shaft / 6mm diameter pinions instead (PI6010O15) , that have been made with the Slot.it crown/ 1.5mm shaft motor combination in mind.

The 1.5mm shaft / 5.5 mm is intended to replace, for example, equivalent plastic 5.5mm pinion on 1.5mm shaft motors, but if you plan using it with a Slot.it crown use the 6mm version.

The reason is that the +0.25mm pinion radius compensates for the -0.25mm radius shaft. Not mechanically probably ideal but works well in practice.

Maurizio, when will the 9T 6mm diameter pinions, PI6060015, show up in the US? I already obtained some of the 5.5, but only two places show them and 132SlotCar lists the 10T 6mm for preorder.

Thanks for the clarification on intended use!

JML, the code is PI6010o15 if you refer to the pinions I was talking about. These will be available in the US in I think one month
They are 10 teeth, not nine.

                        The code is
                        PI : PInion
                        60: outside diameter
                        10: number of teeth
o: code for brass (ottone in Italian)
                        15: shaft diameter

Oh, I see the code now. Pesky 0s and Os! Any plans for a 9T in that diameter?

We should have really avoided mixing Os and 0s
9 tooth, not planned yet but not impossible either

Maurizio, in the MRRC/Revell-Monogram Sebring chassis cars, the FF motor is offset 2mm. Which Slot.it pinion diameter would you recommend for that use? Right now I have the BWA or Scaleauto brass 9T pinions on the 1.5 mm motor shaft with the offset Slot.it crown. I realize your crowns are designed for a lesser offset.
