  • The 'Coke' Porsche 962. How did they miss it!? Where's 'Lady'?

This picure from the Slot.It album I've linked to below. The picture is accurate.
Doesn't everybody know that from 1981 on every Porsche that Bob Akin owned and raced had 'Lady' somewhere on the front? Who doesn't know that!?

Aside from that a great job done.

    I didn't know that.

Heck, I don't even know why the Domino's Pizza advertisement on the right front fender appears to be upside down.

    So there you go, eh?

To match the one on the wing, of course!

Are you sure it's the one on the right fender that looks upside down?

They were that way at that time. Daytona '86.

The Dominos logo only appears to be upside-down if you want the text to be upright. Their logo at that time had the name standing on end. The logos on the "top" of the car are all positioned to be read as you face the car from the front. Strange trivia - this Dominos logo (with sides vertical and horizontal, instead of tilted) used 1984-1995 is the only one in all uppercase letters.

Well...if you really need to have the "Lady" script to make the car look authentic I'd be happy to make one up for you.

I mean how hard could it be?

It appears it was run in a different configuration at some point in it's history.

That picture is of the car as it ran for '84, '85 and the first half of '86. The 'factory' bodywork.
                        Probably as it currently 'restored'.

No Lady either! Did Bob Aiken not drive or own it then?
