OK, yeah, the cars and plain track can be re-used. The track, honestly, you'd be really having to pinch to keep that stuff around rather than changing to the native track of the system you're moving to. The cars make sense to keep, but you'll have to re-chip them, and even converting SCXD cars to other systems is a PITA because of how the guide works on the SCXD system. You'd effectively need to convert them to analog SCX cars, and then to digital for the other system. Honestly, unless you're in love with a particular car and it's not available as an analog car or digital for the other system, you're better off selling it to someone who is dead set on hanging onto SCXD as long as possible. Sooner or later, the resale value will be pretty good.

Is it quick and or easy? No. Honestly, you're better off selling the SCX system and purchasing a different one to then upgrade to oXigen. Carrera or Hornby SSD would be easy to convert, with Hornby SSD being the easiest to convert.

The problem is that SCXD uses mechanical lane changers that have no electronics or even solenoids to move the flippers. It's all inside the car. You would be having to do so much work, and spending so much money for the materials, in order to add in what's missing for oXigen (or any other system) to work that you're just re-inventing the wheel.

Unfortunately, when you have SCXD, you either stick with it, or you change track and systems entirely.
i feared that i was impossible. We need to look for a complete upgrade in the next years
    Thx for the reply.

Would it not be possible to make some adapterpieces, in order to incorporate Ssd xovers in the Scx track. I believe track width is equal and it ought to be possible to wire some power to the track ?
