Hey Bruce,so that looks like the M1 is geared 14/46 instead of the usual 10/50.
    Is that correct ?

yes, it 14/46. The rear rims are much smaller than the rest of the cars so the smaller crown is needed. I was able to turn 10-15 laps this morning and it seems to be just as fast as the others. Once I'm able to make my silicones or urethane tires, I'll post more info.

All right what's your secret Randy? The pinion I can count but how in the **** can you see through the tire to count the side gear?

            10-50
            12-48
            14-46

These are the standard gear sets.

Shows how much I look at the cars. I thought they were all 10-50.

These are the first cars, that I know of, that were released with this gear combo. Nearly all are 10/50. My guess is because of the wheel size. The other combos were/are available as the performance line. I don't think it sold very well. I have a Porsche axle with a 46t gear. At the moment I'm sanding down a urethane tire to see if I can get the Porsche axle to work. This would give you the BBS look most people want as well as a performance tire.

On the D/124 cars, whatever the gear ratio the tooth count on the pinion + the spur gear will always add up to 60.
                  Superpower myth busted

I haven't seen that turntable before. Is that powered by battery or electric? Either way really cool!

I'll do a write up when I'm done. I still have a ways to go.

                        Thanks,
