  • 2009 LMS/ALMS Proxy Series & Rules (Results thru the Finale!))

Thanks to Robert Livingston for his providing of the RAA Rules to give me the format and help in writing these rules.
These are now the LMP and GT rules for the Harbour Pointe Racing Association, as well, voted in by acclamation emails.

These are the Rules for the 1/43d Scale LMS/ALMS Proxy Series. No deviation is allowed.
    LMP Class Car Rules:

LMP.b) Chassis is open. May be constructed of any material, any configuration, provided General rules are followed (see below).
Wheels, tires, gears, axles, guides, braids, wires, bearings, and fasteners may be modified or replaced by any manufacturer's parts.

LMP.c) Motors are open. Motors which trip overload protectors, slow other cars on the track, or cause other problems due to excessive current draw, may be excluded from racing.

    GT Class Car Rules:
GT.a) Body must be a two door, closed cockpit car as raced in any GT series during the years 2005-2009, including ACO/LMS, ALMS, FIA GT, Rolex Grand Am,and JGTC..

G.c) Guide may not project beyond body when aligned for straight, viewed from directly above.

G.d) All wheel drive, and multiple motors, may be used only if the actual car used them.

G.e) Cars must have sufficient ground clearance to permit free running without contacting track. Cars which drag on track will be excluded.

G.f) Clear window material must be used where the real car has clear material.

G.g) Racing numbers must be visible in three places on body. Bodies may be painted in fantasy or realistic liveries.

G.h) Headlights and tail lights are required, but are not required to actually illuminate.

G.i) Rear wing must be in place if actual car was raced with wing, in the class in which it is entered.

Hello=I must say that all the cars look great. I just wish I could of found the body that I wanted to do. Well maybe next year.

Don't let a certain body type prevent you from having fun!
I'd like a GTO too, but I still built a Ford GT GT2.

                              The Season Finale Results

It was a great racing weekend with the usual close finishes. Unlike the 1:1 LMS-ALMS, the GT's were faster again!
Thanks to SCX for the great sponsorship and prizes.
And thanks to all who entered. Some finished, some didn't. Just like the "real" thing.
                              See attachment.
