Just for fun, I want to get this rolling even though it is a 60 day contest.

Although this will not be eligible for the contest, here is a progress photo of a car I would do if I was a participant. Still have things to do to it, and final photos to take.

Also, this is an example of the minimum photos needed for each entry. A photo of FRONTAL 3/4 angle of each side of the car and any other you want to send. The maximum allowed photos are five(5). Once you say your entry is "FINAL" all photos must be in the same post as these are.

Here's a couple of mistakes I made that I'll pass on to you guys so you don't make them too. : )

I didn't check the size of the "Domino's" decal for the sidepod before I painted the red stripe. I didn't make my red "stripe" wide enough so I had to mask it off again & add about 1/8" of red or else the last letter or 2 of the Domino's logo would have got cut off. Check the size of your large decals before masking & painting your car. : ) I used real autobody masking tape, the lime green kind. It works real well.

I tried to paint the face shield on the helmet but it was too hard. Too small. I cut a piece of black electricians tape to the correct size & just stuck it in place.

The Goodyear logos are decals I got off ebay. **** hard to get just right because they are so tiny.

When it was all done I gave it several coats of Future floor polish. everything except the interior of the cockpit.

The front winglet side thingies are too big compared to the actual car. I copied the way fastlap did his rather than look at the prototype. Check your reference photos!

I didn't do any extra detailing, too lazy. I don't expect to win but I did have fun & am pretty happy w/the results. Cheers!

Very nice work! Wouldn't it be great to see all of them lined up in rows of three?

                  Very nice stuff overall, guys.
The Little Al "push rod" car, very cool (but I am a sucker for anything with Marlboro on the side).

Yes, the bar is set high.

                        Modeling contest

Went off the wall with the the Senna Lotus 99T from the same era.Engine cowling was raised, roll bar reconfigured, side radiator and rear brake vents added and rear wing reshaped to Lotus wing.
