  • Scalextric Nürnberg 2009 news and take 3 SCI Awards for 2008.

They were very pleased to receive these awards and thanked you all for the votes.

First was for the F1 Legends Set.

Next was for the NASCAR COT Cars.

And finally for the F1 McLaren which Lewis Hamilton drove to a thrilling finish to the 2008 Season.

I will visit Scalextric and several other Manufacturers more in the next few days but now I have to sleep.

You can look at some of the Scalextric Line here in the SCI Gallery http://www.slotcarillustrated.com/v-...lightId=101933

    Thank you and Good Night.

That GTO looks superb, especially the nose molding! But I really can't judge how well they did those wire wheels; anyway, I bet BWA, BRM, and PCS are going to sell plenty of aftermarket wheels for these cars.

The wheels looked good but there is always BRM.

The GTO wheels look like the Mercedes 300 SL wheels. Nice enough, but not exactly Ferrari style. But close. And is the top edge of the windshield a little high? Still, a very good looking model. The curve of the front fender looks good to me.

I'm not a big fan of Scalextric, but I will always give credit where credit is due. The Year of Legends set is amazing, and the new COT is an excellent slot car, period. I haven't driven the Hamilton car, so I won't speak to that one. But I know that the awards for the other two are well deserved, so congrats, Scalextric!
