  • Round 4 of 26 - Interlagos - 9 February 2016 - DHORC 510

Round 4 of the 2016 DHORC Championship brings a new venture to the club, our first ever 400+ foot circuit.

So big is the track that we are going to have to pick up the tables we use for our Le Mans race from Donington Park racing circuit on the Sunday before the race.

We are also going to have to build the track on the Monday night before the actual race on the Tuesday night so we have enough time to get it up and running before racing begins at 1845 on Tuesday.

You don't have to be mad to race at DHORC but it certainly helps!

    Cheers

Wow, thank you to the 35 Members plus entourage who all enabled us to run a successful evening on our longest ever track, the remarkable 414’2” original Interlagos track – well our version of it. The shear amount of work that went into building the track in three hours on Monday and the 30 minutes it took to take down was thanks to the dedication of so many.

Congratulations to Jamie Sismey for taking his third Adult win of the year, to Geoff Peach for taking his first Masters win, to Adam Turnbull for backing his first ever Junior win in Round 3 with a second here and to Gabe Reyes-England for taking his third Cadets win.

Both Adult and Junior championship contenders Simon Goodlip and Reuben Litherland had a torrid time in Qualifying but Simon won three Finals to take second overall from an 11th placed grid slot and Reuben took third after two Final wins to take third. Congrats to both.
