    Friday, February 10th at Maxport III

    For Modern Prototypes 2000-2016

    Simple race format; simple rules; common cars; lots of track time and prizes; but most importantly fun mandatory and everyone is welcome! The Maxport III Gold Medals will be awarded to the Winners in all 3 groups; the coveted ‘Pole Position’ hat to our fastest qualifier, plus plenty of giveaways/prizes no matter how you finish!

    Everyone is welcome!
    Beginners/rookies to youngsters to established slot car veterans!
    There is a place for all ages and talent! This event is open to the public!

    Nightly Schedule
    5:00pm Track opens for practice
    5:00pm – 6:45pm Open Practice
    6:45pm – 7:00pm Tech Inspection
    7:00pm Racing begins!
    Race 1- Group 1 (Juniors/Rookies)
    Race 2- Group 2 (Silver)
    Race 3 - Group 3 (Gold)
    Racing will conclude by 9:00pm at which time the track is open to continue to lap for the rest of the evening as part of your entry fee

    The Format/Cost
    Depending on the amount of race entries will determine the final format. All race groups will have at least 2 complete races (a race comprising of all 6 lanes); with the last race being deemed the ‘Final’.
    Entry fee/cost is just $10.00 and includes all practice, racing and the use of the track after the races have concluded right up until closing!

    Race Groups
    Group 1 (Juniors/Rookies)
    Group 2 (Adult ‘Silver’)
    Group 3 (Adult ‘Gold’)
    The organisers (Mini Grid) will establish the split of Silver and Gold drivers on race night based on individual’s experience and historic speed. The winning Silver driver will be automatically promoted to ‘Gold’ for the next event!

    The Cars
    Open to any Modern Prototype (P1/P2) Sports Car that raced from 2000-2016. This includes Porsche, Audi, Toyota, Peugeot, Panoz, Bentley, Lola, Cadillac, Courage, BMW, Dallara, Reynard, Dome, Lister, MG, Pescarolo, Zytek, etc.

    The Rules
    General: For commercially available 1/32nd scale Prototypes with original body. Engines, wheels, tires, pinions, gears, axles, bushings, motor pods are open.
    Magnets: Non-Magnet with a maximum 20 grams of downforce
