I always have good intensions of racing at Red Hill Nate, but something always seems to come up. Love your track it is so much fun to run on and the guys are always great to race with...so yes I hope The 1/24th stuff is OK but there is so much BS associated with it that its not worth the hassle. That being said this is my plan for this Saturday..Group C, Group 5 and GT ....yeah I know but a guy can dream right.

For the record, could someone list which rules apply to whicj class? This is how I understand it:

        DTM: stock
        Group C: Modified
        Group 5: don't have a clue
        GT3: Unlimited (GT3 bodies...everything else goes)

I took these rules from threads on this message board. Nate can clarify if changes have been made.

Group C / IMSA GTP Specific Rules:
          - Group C is a ‘Stock’ Group
‘Stock’ refers to ready-to-run cars produced by Slot.it
Stock body and chassis that came with the body must be used.
Changes to gears, axles and wheels are allowed – but prototype inserts and sizes must be maintained.
          Motor configuration must be in-line.
Guide may be changed but must retain stock position.
Motors are limited to Slot.it Orange end-bell, white end-bell or Turqouise end-bell and in no case may exceed 21,500 rpm. Suspect motors may be tested at Tech.

          Group 5 Specific Rules:
‘Stock’ bodies and ‘Stock’ chassis may switched (i.e. Carrera body on an NSR Chassis)
3D printed chassis to allow differing motor configurations are also allowed
Motors are limited to published 22,000 rpm limit. Suspect motors may be tested at Tech.
If wheels are changed, prototype inserts must be used. No ‘low-rider’ wheel –tire combinations.
NSR, Slot.it, Carrera, SCX and Scaley PCR as well as other 3D chassis may be used under other ‘stock’ bodies. All other rules apply.
Motors are limited types as supplied ‘stock’ in the RTR versions of the cars. No motors of over 22,000 are allowed, even if supplied ‘stock’ by that manufacturer. Suspect motors may be tested at Tech.
Models of prototype cars as run in Groups 2, 3 and 4 are not allowable in Group 5 (i.e. no FLY BMW M-1s)

Those are the rules. Modern gt can use 3d chassis all modern gt is a 22k motot limit. I'm going to print up the rules for each category when I get them in a PDF format soon.

GT3 has a 21.5K motor limit. inline, anglewinder and sidewinder pods allowed. Not much different than the other classes. Currently the only unlimited class is Can-Am though there is talk of a 3D Chassis class that has no motor limit. Bodies currently are open.

Good thing, had you been caught racing an illegal car we would have had to ban you for life LOL

And the home race track gets to repo any cars that are found illegal.

Just a thought, for club members who want a track but lack the space how about we consider also racing a limited class of HO cars? Nate, I know you must still have some.
