    PSSRA Racer Sideways Gp. 5 Specifications

    Proposition: The objective of this document is to rule the “Racer Sideways Gp.5 Category

    0 - Approved Cars
    0.1 Racer Sideways Gp. 5 cars: Porsche 935/78 Moby Dick, Lancia Beta Montecarlo, Zakspeed Capri, BMW M1 Turbo
    0.2 Any modification, substitution or omission may be made only if clearly ruled by this document. Sometimes the prohibitions are explicitly reaffirmed for clarity.
    0.3 The traction magnet must be removed.
    Chassis and modifications

    1.0 Chassis is the entire assembled set of the original components. are optional.
    M2 grub screws can be used in their assigned location to adjust the front axle ride height.
    1.1 Racer Sideways anglewinder pods or Slot.it anglewinder type EVO 6 motor pods only.
    0.0 Offset: CH61 (Hard)
    0.5 Offset: CH60, (Med), CH60B (Hard)
    1.0 Offset: CH74, (Med) , CH82 (Hard) Not in stock yet
    Any of the Racer rear axle height adjustment parts and/or the pod front 2-point mount adapter may be used (single mount point tab must remain in place). The chassis filler pieces may be removed to fit a Slot.it pod. Spacers between motor pod and chassis screw locations to adjust chassis tweak are allowed. Sanding edges of motor pods, Racer rear axle height adjustment parts, and chassis for fit and float is legal. NO other modifications to axle mounts front or rear are permitted. Front axle ride height adjusting set screws (upper and lower) may be adjusted as required. Axle shims and/or stoppers are allowed.

    2 – Body
    2.1 The body cannot be modified.
    2.1.1 It is acceptable to omit:
    Mirrors
    Wipers
    Sidelights
    Front towing eye (also from the chassis)
    Additional lights
    Antennae
    2.2 The re-painting of the existing body livery is optional and must cover the outer surface only.
    2.3 The painting of white bodies is mandatory and must cover the outer surface only.
    2.4 The body posts for fastening to the chassis can be reinforced by means of a plastic ring.
    2.5 The body must be fixed to the chassis with all the screws as in the stock car.
    2.7 All parts included in the stock car and planned for the specific model can be used.
    2.7.1 Rear wing attachment to the body may be reinforced with glue, resin and/or tape provided that the body shape is not modified and the reinforcement is not on the wing’s upper surface. Multipiece bodies may be reinforced with ShoeGoo.

    3– Axles and Gears
    3.1 Solid steel shafts coded PA01, are allowed only.
    3.2 Stock 11-28 ratio

    4 – Wheels
    4. 1Front wheels must be 15.8mm x 8.2mm (stock)
    4.2 Rear Wheel diameter 17x10 (Stock)
    4.3 The wheel to tire contact surface must be original and clean.

    5.0 Tires
    5.1 Stock Front The compound must maintain the original characteristics;
    5.2. Tires cannot be glued to the wheel.
    5.2.1 The identification mark "Slot.it" must always be present and clearly recognizable.
    5.3 Rear Tires PT1171 "N22" Compound
    5.3.1 Tires can be glued to the wheel and trued.

    6– Motor
    6.1 Stock Flat-6 @20.500RPM Yellow can NEW Closed can one side open other side
    6.2 The motor can be glued or secured with tape to the chassis or the motor chassis. However, it can be fastened to the motor chassis with screws located in the assigned locations.
    6.3 It is forbidden to modify the motor or make any maneuver that may affect the performance, including breaking in using any type of liquid.

    7– Screws, Washers and Spacers
    7.1 Any Racer/Slot.it screws can be used (tuner screws)
    There must be as many screws as in the original car, at the assigned locations, and maintaining the original function.
    7.2 Screws may be left loose or tightened.
    7.3 Spacers at the front axle are allowed, as long as metallic and provided that the complete axle assembly width does not exceed the maximum set value.
    7.4 One washer only can be used on each screw at each location as in the stock car.
    7.5 Loctite or similar glue may be used to affix screws. Body must be removable for tech inspection.

    8– Pick-up
    8.1 The allowed pick up codes are:
    CH66 (Stock) CH85, CH10
    8.2 A grub screw may be used in the CH66 pick up shaft.
    8.3 A grub screw may be used inside each CH66 braid housing.

    9– Wiring, Braids and Eyelets
    9.1 The power cables, braids and eyelets to hold the power cables should be Slot.It or Slot.It appearing.

    10– Ballast
    10.1 Ballast may be used.
    10.2 Weight may not be placed on the outside of the chassis or body.

    11– Interior
    11.1 Must use stock
