    My Car BMW Z4

Not sure why I can't post the photo. Hi Ron its Dave with the little kids. This will be my first race so all the help I can get will be appreciated. I'm using a new BMW Z4 the Japan anime one I'm swapping the rear end and guide from the Slot it Sauber C9 I have stuffed the largest super tires 1405RC I have under it without modifying will this help with gearing? What gear ratio should I run on the track? The motor had issues on the first day so I swapped it out with another white bell Scalextric motor I had. Never opened or modified is that ok? I also plan to use the wires from the Slot it ok? The chassis is longer than the body so not sure how to get body roll without cutting it up. Is body roll that important? What about weight? I was planning to leave the magnet in it for some. I have no idea how much or where to apply weight. Lots of questions sorry guys only ever raced at home on plastic with magnets. Hope everyone will help really looking forward to this. Thanks

      Hi Dave,

sorry I never got back to your email man. I am swamped right now and if I can't spend the time to answer it correctly there is just no point.

Everything you are doing sounds fine. Body float is important but not critical. I have had cars in the past that have run best with the body snug.

I would keep weight to a minimum given the limited horsepower. Put something together with some decent parts (sounds like you are off to a good start) and come out and run it. The proof is always in the pudding and most stuff I can help you with better at the store than over the internet.

Come on out anytime. Tracktime is always free.

How are the builds coming for this? Wish I could participate, but duty calls.

Just under a month away and mine is almost ready.......just needs some wheel inserts.

I am going to announce a race for this Friday night. It seems to me everyone is asking so it must be time to race the 1/32nd's again.

Slot it Group C's and Open Mods this Friday night. If we have time we can run a Scalextric Class warm up race as well.

Well having just returned from Toronto via Caledonia and having visited the Ultima Man Cave, i had the pleasure of mentioning the Scaley Enduro on Sat. This brought a gleam to Tony's eyes and he almost started to do some sort of Highland jig (amazing how a good new knee works).

So just to announce that Tony & Tim Team will be joining up to combat the infidels... Yes you got it T&T will be an explosive combo. You may want to keep your car away from the blast radius...

I was thinking this event may warrant a move up format to a final five for all the glory?
A couple of rounds short heats, a semi final and final.

Not a bad idea Terry. If we have time I am all for running a Final 5 for all the glory.

Lets see what king of turnout we get. I am expecting a big crowd.

See everyone tomorrow for the start of an Epic Weekend of Racing.

Really looking forward to Sat & Sun... I have 2 cars almost ready for Sat and have called them (because they look so alike) Slow and Slower... Tony may have something ready and i will tentatively call it Burro. Now a word of caution as Tony is a little older than me and there were Racing Burro's back in the day that were fast...
