  • 2011 Cheetah Invitational Proxy - Round 14 - Hazard Raceway, CT

The cars have been delivered to Jeremy, Hazards owner and host of round 14. The Cheetah's will then be passed on to double B, the Vernon L owner, for round 13 this Thursday night! That should then conclude the 2011 Cheetah Proxy.

          Jack,
I believe there will be a 2012 Cheetah Proxy. There are hopes that a new 1/32 Cheetah will be available for it and that will encourage more entries.

We'll keep you posted as things develop. Currently I'm trying to get two races in to get some interest sparked and then send the Cheetah's back to their owners.

I seem to remember talk of using rubber tires.....?

Soon after my 2010 car arrived home I fitted some NSR's to the BWA rims.
Not because of the tire talk but because our group is veering away from silicone and the fast guys are using "rubber" as often as possible.
They/we/I use NSR and slotit F series with great success on gloss track surfaces.
The tires were glued and trued. The car runs nice but they are a slightly lower profile than the IG's.

My 2010 car might get re-entered in 2012.

            regards and race on

You are correct Munter, we plan on alternating unless interest drops on one or the other. Personally I prefer rubber or urethane but that's only because the tires usually look better!

Once we are finished with this years proxy, we will apply anything we may have learned, as well as everyones suggestions, to next years proxy. I'm excited that MRRC's Cheetah is coming out, hopefully that will help with attendance.

Hopeful that the MRRC Cheetah will be released soon, does that open the door for a 'stock' class and a 'mod' class?
