    4 great cars

    Scott

Mr Director those are some really nice looking rides.........if they go half as fast as they look we are all in for some serious trouble....

The COT cars now they are really interesting mix of setups.#83 w/29k motor running a 3.27 rear end nice and the #33 w/25 k motor with a 2.38 REAR END....now that's going to be A nasty ONE LOL hope you got good tires under that one..

I'll post my four soon and thanks for sharing info on your cars I think its good to do that.

      Scott,
Great looking cars. See you are going for more torque in COT. Can't wait to see how it will perform. Curious to see you dropping the NSR motor. Dale won the series with that motor last year. Guess you're looking to move from 4th to 1st. I'm going to try to get back into the top 10. Hopefully a top 5 car. Got to get to building May 1st is right around the corner.

Well, the #83 COT is the #4 car from last year... the car ran very well, and aside from the first race where the banked turns caused the "gas tank" to grind the track it was a fairly consistent car. Had a few wins too...

As for the #38... I probably should have dialed the torque down, but the NSR Shark 22 I ran last year was just a little flat, so I figured I'll try something new. I like angelwinder setups, so I just had to try the National Racer chassis.

Dick, thanks for the compliments on the paint, but like a Watkins says "You can't win on a paint job!"

I'm looking forward to a fun season, considering we are back on road courses again, and going down under should be a neat segment.

          I agree...

We will be chasing the NEPA cars So the rest of us have to build the best proxy cars we can to be in the hunt. I should be finally finished with the infield road course part of my roval this week and then I can begin testing and tuning. Long overdue. It wasn't that long ago that the NEPA cars were chasing the Georgia cars, so we'll see what shakes out of my garage

There may be a few less NEPA cars. I'm running out of time with the 3 new builds I had planned and may take a hiatus this season. Too many other semi-completed projects here and there.... plus, I misplaced my Round Tuit tool...

Did a shake down run with a stock SCX Pro Car last night. My SuperTires arrived in the mail.
Out of the box with the tire swap no gluing or truing. The car ran a qualifying time of 1.00.96 fast lap of 2.79 secs. This would have placed it 5th in last years qualifying at my track. The front axle is still loose and this is without the lexan interior. It will need weight added to bring it up to 104 grams. It has proven to be a good platform in past years. I'll have to debate if I leave the brake a part of the platform.

It will need to go to the body shop to get the spoiler added and a new paint job.

OK worked on the SCX Pro some today. Time with tires glued and trued. 57.91 fast lap 2.73 secs.
Average lap time 58.89 fast lap 2.76

Last years fastest COT qualifier was GTOKing #48 57.82 secs fast lap 2.81 Quick!!!!

I wonder what it would have turned had it been left side biased.
Do I keep the SCX motor in or swap for a FC130 of some kind? Gearing stock at 2.70. Just where I would have planned it.

Now to the body shop to remove the wing and replace with a spoiler then to the paint booth for fresh paint job and decals.
