First needed a nice photo of a few cars so looking thought my book I found these.

Next needed the chassis, Slot-it HRS-2 now that we can use them

Pulled the motor out and put it away. Made inserts for the stock wheels and added the Paul Gage Tires front and rear.

Built up the side using Carrera magnet spacers to hold the body a little higher

            Checking the tire size

As you can see one tire is over size, I will trim the inside tire wall , mainly flash to get into spec.

If your tires are within a few .00 they will pass, I am not that mean

I still remember those 2x4's you made me bang my head into...

When I saw the thread title, I was going to offer to come over with my heavy duty jumper cables.

                  Eh?

Looking good. I wonder how many will drop the stock chassis?

Starting on the dash today, cut every thing up so the stock one will fit

Slot.it should do something about the guide and the front mounting hole. To often the axle is in line with the front mounting post. If you use the extra axle carrier and put your guide in front the guide now may interfere with the front of the body or stick pass the front bumper. Maybe I need to go to modeling school to learn how to improvise. Working with an HRSII chassis now for another proxy.

Then maybe model makers shouldn't put there mounting post inline with the axles. Who knows?

                            Looking good.

I am with you on that, that is why I try to always use the side mounts.
