  • SCITCC - Round 8 - Penguin Point

Some ferocious racing took place last night in Hillsboro at Penguin Point as the SCITCC took to the track.

A big thanks to our drivers - Rico, Stan and Greg. Victoria and I managed the corners and kept the computer running. Yes, it's hard to see but that's Rico's Mercedes sitting behind my Alfa Romeo GTV6 in the driveway.

You'll also note the drivers solely focused on the task at hand - studies in concentration looking for every lap possible. Not speed records, every lap possible. It's what you deserve..

There was no time for qualifying so we just lined them up and raced. Fun they were. And... somehow BOV has solved the formula for this track. I think he's won all the events he's been in here lately.

    Here's a podium shot:

They proved to be the best of the best on this night. But not by much as the results will attest:

And that's just about as close as it gets. The top three separated by a single tenth with a 4th place tie.

We'll see if we can't line them up again in a week in Portland on Al's three lane track.

Questions? I'm here all day. I have more pictures to post as well.

    Stay tuned!

..... and the slightly disturbing love affair with the Penguins continues.....

Monte, Victoria, Rico, Stan and Greg - many thanks for putting on the round! I'm quite pleased Nice photos, too....

Congrats to Curef99 and Peter Gunn for their podium positions, too... That's an incredibly close finish....

Dale, Mahalo for your kinds words -

              Cheers, Tony

Thanks Kidvoltage for a great round. Congrats to you as organiser plus of course all your helpers. Very happy with my result. At least my Holden was not last even if I am now clearly last overall.

Congrats to the podiumites and a big thanks for the photos.

                Regards Chas Le Breton (charlesx)

I have to say that this was one of the most satisfying proxy races I've had the pleasure to drive in; each of the cars was a great runner in its own way. Hardly any were prone to de-slots (which is rare in a proxy!), and they were all great fun to drive. My hat's off to all the participants. Thanks for letting us have the chance to drive them!

Thanks for the run. Looks like the BARC Redbull was running OK. It has had quite the ride in this proxy... How many races have we got left until these cars are on their way home?
