I have a mixed bag of manufacturers cars that I run, and I have been fitting my 7005 chips and my other cars with the same plugs that carrera uses in their cars. it makes these chips plug and play...

They are JST connectors. I have done a few Scalextric chips to plug in to my Carrera cars.

For the recent Carreras, they are JST 2.0s for the big plugs and JST 1.5s for the light connectors.

I would much prefer that they stay in business, than add more curves to what they have. I did get a few R2 -90s in my "Scandinavian Rally" set. They are ok for when i have a spot for a pair of R2...
