Thanks guys for the confirmation. But...a tech issue that takes more than 24hrs to resolve is a sign of a serious manpower shortage, or cutbacks. I don't like it. Fingers crossed.
JJJ, I noticed the site was down and I thought the same thing you did, this doesn't look good. Even if one of the fine mods over their spilled their morning coffee on the server it would seem possible to get the site up and running in a day.
Didn't the customer service e-mail (brians e-mail) go down a few weeks ago? Maybe they need to find a new I.T. service provider. I'm just hoping that the same people in charge of product launches and licensing at SCX aren't in charge of the I.T. systems there.
Yes, all 3 european sites are up. This may indicate that SCX is pulling back from NA, in an effort to consolidate and cut costs. Or it could be a glitch, a really long annoying glitch. I have sent an email to Bryan Young re a warranty issue, and took the opportunity to ask him about the site. I'll let you know what he says, if he responds.
Thanks JJJ for taking the initiative on this. Hopefully Bryan will be able to provide some insight. I have seen some of the regular scx folks on this site, so when you hear from Bryan, we will know what's going on.
Message from Bryan Young - scxworldwide website down
FYI: I decided to follow up with Bryan too and see if he had an official response from SCX about the website issues, and rumors of other issues with SCX in general. Here is the response I got a few minutes ago:

Nice. Will do. Thanks Bryan!

Ok Please post THIS EVERY WHERE.
The problems with the Web site have nothing to do with SCX problems.
"Dear; SCX customer my name is Bryan Young V.P operation TTNA, some new things are happening with SCX and right now I can not go into details.
I am going to the 2012 NRHSA Hobby Show, if SCX was in trouble that would not be happening .
SCX is going to bigger and better you can put that in the bank."

Bryan, the SCX worldwide website has been down for the better part of 2 days, it appears. There are some rumors on other boards that SCX is in some financial trouble and is having trouble keeping their website running.
Can you tell me what's going on with the website, and when it may be back online? Thanks!
For the record, I'm a little nervous too. I just got into SCX last december, and I really like the equipment, and the support. First rate.
In the past few months there have been a few troubling signs. No 2012 club car, no appearance at the annual toy show in europe, and the support email and website crashes. I hope these are all just minor operational issues. I'd hate to see SCX go away.
However it is encouraging that they did put out a few new cars this year, as well as a couple new accessories. And that the public faces of SCX are continuing to say that everything is fine. I'm crossing my fingers.
The SCX Barcelona Taxi released in Spain is Awesome... I love SCX stuff!
The year of the sets, hmmm, it's what I've been saying, you sell sets, they buy cars, you gotta have cars, lots of cars, but to want cars, you gotta have a set to start.
The other day WOOT.com was selling the 1:43 SCX sets (small NASCAR Oval) for 25 bucks, so cheap that in the sites comments 100's of customers were excited about seeing slot cars for sale, you could buy up to 3 sets and most did, they were like kids at Christmas.
Those folks will be very happy with those sets/cars, SCX brought in a ton of new blood with that single sale, and they will want cars, lots of cars... yeah, it's 1:43, but it's a slot car set and it exposes the hobby to those who may have thought it gone or never saw them before.
