Beautiful!
I read on IT that this is his first car with a improved tampo process.
It shows.
It really does. They may have missed a bit on the R18, but totally nailed the R8. It might be early to talk about this, but could the R8 be in the running for GT Car of the Year? Not sure if anybody's going to deliver a better combination of looks and speed.
The NSR GT cars are buy far my favorite cars to play and race with. I have been fooling with these cars since the first 2 997 were released. I have tried every combination of chassis and pod and suspension and tire/wheel they make. I have 25 997s now(8 are set up as IROC cars for my track)...16 C6R Corvettes (6 are set up as IROC cars for my track) and 6 Audi R8s. My favorite is the 997,but the Corvette and Audi handle just a tick (on my track it's about 2/10 second per lap) better. I have the Playstation Audi and the tampo is very good-one of the side benifits of a light colored routed track is running dark cars and being able to see them. Nothing like a black car! The Porsches handle better (on my track) with a slightly narrowed rear track. Where the C6R and R8 run better at full width. I use the med. suspension on all my NSRs (I only use 2 springs on each car leaving the front hole of the pod with a regular mounting screw...slightly loose. That way 2 suspension sets do 3 cars.
I've got the Silver R8 and the Test (black) R18 with the misspelling on the windscreen shade. I'm holding out for the assembled white R8... `got a hot idea for a relivery. These are nice tho and my favorite marque.
^ I do not own any Audi R8. However the ADAC Vette I have is impressive smooth, so are my Porsches 997. The Vette seems more stable than the 997 though. Either car is a great choice.
