Default New Store and Track Layout

Ron & Pete,

When you get a chance, post the new address and directions, and perhaps an overview of the new layout, of RH2 here!

Best with the move and build. I look forward to the new location and track!

Give em a chance Yanni! They want to do some vacationing. Are you going to build a plastic replica of the new track and practice on it?

Hi Guys,

I am glad to say that the move is almost done. The New Store address is:

13 Kenview Blvd
Unit 44
Brampton, Ontario.

Now I just have to build a New Store and a New Track. I am thinking of going with a 4 Lane this time......

Any thoughts Guys??

On a Side note, The Radical Went Downtown Today!!! Too Much Fun. It was the 4th Annual Yorkville Exotic Car Show. Super Fun Day and the Weather behaved all day.

Never thought I would get a shot of it on Bloor St........

Four lanes will help with the rotaionally challenged.

As for lanes/layout I have faith it will be good.

Hi Ron, It's been some time I've been on the site, let alone slot car racing. The time will come when I do begin to race again. Any how Ron, the car looks great my friend two thumbs up. Its not street legal is it? Hope to see you at your new address soon.

Nice shot. Let me know when you are having a track night.

New track - I would prefer 5 lanes mainly as can complete a race in a shorter period of time. I guess a lot depends on the space you have and the track design.

Any thoughts to changing race day? It was nice driving to track on a Sat for the Enduro. Much nicer than fighting the Friday night traffic.

I would also would rather see a 5 lane than a 4. 4 is more suited to a home track than a comercial one and as we had been seeing a slow growth , i would like to see that trend continue.

Also for me coming and racing 2 races a night i still need to feel the value of the trip. We had 2 races 5 lanes and 4 minutes/lane. To change that to 2 races 4 lanes and 5 minutes/lane i will feel like i am getting less racing and possibly too much sitting/marshalling time.

ok, seems like the 5 Laner is still in demand.

You guys do understand that it is the exact same amount of racing if we go to 4 Lanes and 5 minute heats??? 20 minutes of racing is 20 minutes of racing, any way you slice it.

The only reason I ask is because I can definitely fit bigger 4 lane than a 5 lane in the new space.

So for now I am going to say we are back at a 5 Lane.......for now.

good point Ron, exact same amount of race time

also, with 4 lanes it leaves you an extra marshall

looking forward to the new track no matter how many lanes

Do understand the time, but if we get 12+ people then we end up spending way too much time watching and like Bill mentioned the racing will take longer for everyone to cycle through. Also keep in mind a longer track does not always mean a better track.

If you could give us some of the dimensions available for the track, maybe we could come up with some ideas. We are mid June there is still time.

Ron,

If you think a four lane track would be better (better flowing, longer, more challenging, interesting) instead of a more mundane ho-hum 5 lane track, I say go to four lanes!

This way we can stretch out the high geared cars with a yellow can!
