All I can say is WOW, what a difference a pair of tires make! Tonight I put on the PGT urethanes and my Ford GT handles like a dream. The LOVE is back.

Those PG tires do really well on that car and all of the new DTM cars also !
I have changed the front tires also to a lower type (very thin ones that I picked up from a "Flycar" that I don't even use), it was just a try to lower the front end and it drives even better.

Default PGT tires

The problem with these tires is that they are so amazing you will now need to buy them for all of the cars in your fleet! I made the mistake of buying a pair for my 1/24 Corvette and quickly realized that none of the other cars could even compete with it after the upgrade! Glad you got the Ford Gt dialed in! What a beautiful car!

They are updated to last year's cars I see. Yes, yes I know the wrecker is shown and it's not been released yet...
The GT uses the same tires as the Corvette C7.R btw....

Default 1/24 Ford GT

I am just curious if we will ever see the 1/24 Ford GT. I was thinking about how nice it would to have it to run while I was watching the Le Mans race on TV.

Is there any guess as to when it might arrive?

Bill

My Ford Gt pops out of the slot on the digital switch tracks if you are carrying any speed. not sure what the issue is but my other cars switch fine. Any info on or how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. It seems to only happen on the double switches I have in the straightaways.

The car sits to high from the track... I have found the solution by installing smaller diameter tires on the front.

yes of course we will ... it's due to arrive within the next 3 or so weeks on the next container.

So you have had it hop out when trying to change lanes also? what tire do you recommend?

Read the thread I started about changing the Carrera guide. There's an very good discussion about this for the Ford GT on HRW.

I tried installing smaller tires upfront and it works great... I borrowed the front tires from a analog Fly 132 car that I bought just for show and those tires did the job by lowering the front end, just perfect to make that car run even better. Thanks for the hint !

I put the offset bushing in mine and trued the front tires smaller. I'm using maxxtrac extreme silicones , but have a set of Paul gage tires coming in. Silicones really hookup if track is clean. Going to put a slotit rear end in car so I can change gear ratios also. No problems with car what so ever, really dialed in, I'm happy with it.

I guess that you do race in competitons, I don't, so I just keep all of my digital Carrera cars as they are except adding some PG rear tires for more traction and better handling.
Like others say, Carrera cars are adult toys and I enjoy every minute of it.
