Default Racer Sideways Group 5 Results and Standings Rounds 1,2,3,4,5,6

ROUND 1 RACER SIDEWAYS GROUP 5 - RAINIER RACEWAYS

To Greg's for the first round of the Racer Sideway's Group 5 cars . We
usually don't run at Greg's till later in the series when we have a better
grip on the series cars . RamJet shook it up putting Rainier Raceways in
the leadoff spot . Good choice Rog !

SUMMER KING OF THE HILL ; Greg choose RamJets NSR Mosler for
the First Stage of the series . Getting things off to a quick start from the
get go . Greg led things off and as always at home clocks off a solid run.
RamJet was next and set the pace for the night 6 tenth's under Greg's best
Vic and I were no wear in sight . RamJet's Car ? nah .

To RamJet , To Vic and To Pat

SUMMER IROC ; For the IROC Race Greg rolled out his Scaley LMP's
Stock right out of the box , magnets and all . The cars were quick and
pretty fun to race . Brought back some memories of the old days which
isn't to bad . We blistered off some 20 lap heats a 21 and Greg a 22 . A
lot of fun and in the end it was the heavy finger of Vic leading the way .

To Vic , To Pat and To Greg

RACER SIDEWAYS GROUP 5's ; We had a blast with these last time we
ran them and it looks like we may be in the same boat this time around .
We did have a question about the Tires and which ones we were running
Greg was right , it's the white stripped foamy's not the Yellow's that I was
promoting (sorry) . Didn't seem to matter to much as RamJet takes Round
1 handily by laps and win's . Some great racing and it looking to only get
better .

To RamJet , To Vic and To Greg

Thanks to Greg , hosting Round 1. Did I mention the Nutter Butters

Next week It's to RamJets and Fossumheim , maybe even a familiar face from the past

Till Then

Pat

ROUND 2 RACER SIDEWAYS GROUP 5 - FOSSUMHEIM

To RamJet's for the second Round of the Group 5 cars . Still some indecision on the
proper tire's for some of the boy's so we ran run what you brung . With Vic , Ramjet
and myself continuing on with the Yellows . Time to stop talking and get Racing .

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!

SUMMER KING OF THE HILL ; A big change in the King this week as we went three
wheeling . Three wheeling yeah three wheeling . Greg had just picked up a 24th
scale BRM Sidehack , very cool Yellow and Blue . With the hardest decision to be
made was which one of the 2 monkey's to use . Greg decided on the guy who tucks in
behind the pilot . Crank up the volts , RamJet leads it off , chimes in with a respectable
7.7 , Vic takes it down a tenth , back to the .7's for Greg and I . A .8 for Roger , with
Bob and Russ in the 8.0 zone . Thanks Greg , Great fun

To Vic , To Greg and To RamJet

SUMMER IROC ; For this weeks IROC segment we dusted off a set of front engine Fly
Lister Storms . Turned down the power ( should have left it up ) But what you gona do .
The cars were pretty equal just ask Baba Loo . The Yellow car was lacking a little speed
The Adidas car in lane 4 made a wrenching racket but ran strong ( maybe the fastest of
the 4 ) and every lane had a heat win . All and all a good IROC outing with 3 of the top
4 on the same lap and only 2 laps separating the same .

To Greg , To Roger and To Pat

http://www.slotcarillustrated.com/po...1&d=1498097969

RACER SIDEWAYS GROUP 5 ; Bob showed up a little late with no controller or car so
Roger lent him his Capri and I gave him my spare trigger . The cars performed well at
Fossumheim . Roger's M1 was extremely fast and the battle quickly became a race for
second . We had some great heats but no one had anything for Roger . I took him out
once then wile apologizing I left the slot at the next corner . Roger took the Round by
8 laps and won 11 of his 12 heats . Ramjet led me by 3 laps but I made it back in bonus
points . Then took advantage of the first tie breaker . Baba Loo we'll try to get you a
better car and controller next time you show empty handed . Were glad you made it !

To Roger , To Pat and To RamJet

ROUND 3 RACER SIDEWAYS GROUP 5 - THE BRICKYARD

Well there it is , The BrickYard in all it's glory . I've never really seen it from this angle
when racing . At 5'6" on a good day , I can see about half of it if I'm lucky . Bob's looking
to make some changes , clearing out some if the timber , maybe even turning the table .
It's pretty tight quarters down there and Bob's hoping to make things more user friendly .

SUMMER KING OF THE HILL ; Bob was hurting a bit and only participated in this event
last Monday . He choose a Slot-It R 18 for this weeks stage . Ramjet lead things off , ran
a good stage but may have been a victim of the first cleaning of the tires . Still running a
6.4 , Vic took it down 2 tenths then down a hundredth for me . Back up a hundredth for
Greg . Then Roger hit the bricks , clocking a 6.124 to land on the top Step of the Podium .
Great Stage Mr. Clark

To Roger , To Pat and To Vic

SUMMER IROC ; Another run for the Trans Am cars at the BrickYard . We had a better
idea of what cars should be in what lane this time around . Putting the Challenger in lane
3 helped it out a lot . The same with moving the Cougar out to 4 . With the best in the out
side lanes it made for a fairly even IROC race . Vic was the patient one this week , with
Greg and myself fighting to the last heat for second . Same # in the lap department but
nipping Greg by 1 in bonus points , Super Joe just one lap off the pace . With this weeks
race results we now have a 3 way tie for first place in the standings .

To Vic , To Pat and To Greg

http://www.slotcarillustrated.com/po...1&d=1498877659

RACER SIDEWAYS GROUP 5 ; Who's going to have it this week ? Both the Roger's were
quick . Heck Super Joe was quick , I spent most the night watching everyone else race .
Wheres the pouting couch . Where do we race next week ? Anyway , Vic was able to
avoid contact most the night and keep his car in the slot . RamJet out legged Roger by
3 for second . Imagine Vic running calculated race , he didn't have the car but his finger
more than made up for it . He was grinning all the way home .

To Vic , To Ramjet and To Roger

ROUND 4 RACER SIDEWAYS GROUP 5 - SCALERACING CENTER

To Alan's and ScaleRacing Center on a hot summer night . With a first time racer
on hand , the Great One stopping by for a visit and some racing , we were just
about ready to get things going and in walk Julia with Charle , at the time we
didn't know what a impact that would have on the evening .

SUMMER KING OF THE HILL : Sense we had so much fun the with the drags
last time we thought we'd give it another try . Pairing racers up by order from
last weeks standings except for Alan , dosen't need any schooling . RamJet went
head to head with the Britt and showed last time wasn't a new skill but maybe a
bit of luck . Most everyone else improved on their times and were feeling pretty
good about themselves till Julia pops off a .0051 light , Charle backs her up with
a .0241 . Well thats first and second , then Brettski takes the final step on the
Podium to finish the visitors sweep .

To Julia To Hot Dog and To Brett

SUMMER IROC : After getting shook up in the King it was time to get serious
Running the Centers Birthday Meganes , it was time for some turns in the mix .
Things started off with some close heats and continued throughout the segment
12 laps seemed to be the number to hit if one was going to have a chance for
Victory . I had one off falling 1 lap short of 12's across the board , Vic reached
the target with 72 laps in the books . Then in the second to last heat Julia hits
one of the 4 - 13's of the night in lane 3 to prove that the King wasn't a fluke .
With only 2 laps separating the Podium and the next 3 racers locked at 68 it
could have been anybody's race .

To Julia , To Vic and To Pat

RACER SIDEWAYS GROUP 5 : Well is She going to do it a third time ? We were
a little short on spare's this week so we substatuted with a hand full of Scale
Auto GT3's . The Group 5 cars running white stripped foamy's and the Scale
Auto"s with the reds . The Sideways cars had the speed down the straights .
but the GT3's kicked butt in the turns . It really made for some great racing .
Alan showed us all who owns the track with the largest margin of Victory for
the night , 4 laps . Vic slipped in for second and you guessed it Julia makes
it 3 Podiums for the night . Are we going to invite next time

To Alan , To Vic and To Super Girl

ROUND 5 RACER SIDEWAYS GROUP5 - CASCADES RACEWAYS

After some late week schedualing confusion the decision was made to run the fifth
round at Dan's as it worked out better for everyone involved . So RamJet stole the
brides van , made his way to my place to pick up a full load for the trek to Lacey
and Cascades Raceways .

SUMMER KING OF THE HILL ; For this weeks stage Dan choose Greg's Scaley
BMW Z4 , running a Slot-It chassis upgrade . Long Can Inline configuration , the
car was quick and was not at a lack of grip . Vic lead things off this week and it
wasn't a bad place to be as the next couple racers had to deal with far to much
grip and rolling out of the slot . None of that really mattered once Dan made his
way to the track clocking in with a 5.225 . Taking the stage by over a tenth

To dan , To vic and to Roger

SUMMER IROC ; From the photo in the previous post one can see the Reprotech
Abarths . We haven't ran these in a wile and I beleave they've never ran on MDF
so something new for the Abarth's . They gave us some great heats with exciting
racing . The Red and Yellow car was the class of the field but didn't take every
heat as the wins spread throughout the 3 cars . At the end of the round it was
confirmed the race of the night as the top 4 racers all ended up on the same lap
total .

To Greg , To RamJet and To Pat - all with 40 Laps in the books , throw Vic in there to

http://www.slotcarillustrated.com/po...1&d=1500257018

RACER SIDEWAYS GROUP 5 ; Well what are these cars going to do at Cascades
Raceway ? After about 2 heats it was unanimous , the cars loved it With Roger
Clark not wasting any time dipping into the 4's by his second run and Dan close
behind in Rogers loaner Capri near the 4's him self . For the rest of us it was kind
of sit back relax and watch the show as both Dan and Roger were tallying 24 lap
heats . It was a incredable show and fun to watch Kind of . We also had a
great showing from a second time racer , Jacob placing 5th in the Group 5 segment
Good Job Jacob .

To Roger , To Dan and To RamJet

First things first , Hi John it's good to hear from you . Hope things are going well with
your Father and the rest of your Family . We hope to see you back at the track soon .

ROUND 6 RACER SIDEWAYS GROUP 5 - VICTORY LANE

A little late Spring Cleaning at Victory Lane as Jacob and I arrive at Vic's for the
sixth round of the series . Jacob jumps in like a veteran grabbing a table a broom
what ever he can to help out . The 3 of us got things pretty well in order before
the rest of the gang showed up so all that was needed was a good run in to clean
the track . Running white strip foamys it didn't take long for the surface to gain
top racing condition .

SUMMER KING OF THE HILL ; I'm not really sure how it came about but Vic chose
RamJet's NSR Mosler . RamJet didn't have much luck with the Mosler last week
at the 12 Hours of Tacoma in the Open LMP race on Friday Night . He was feeling
it was his controller more than the car though . I Guess we'll see . Vic lead things
off clocking in with a 6.4 , a tenth up for me . 6.3's for the Roger's , a stumble for
Super Joe and Jacob . Ramjet was right as he sets the pace for the night using a
loaned Slot-It trigger .

To RamJet , To Roger and To Vic

SUMMER IROC ; This week Vic pulled out a box containing about 6 or seven Fly
Racing RSR Porsche's . Sabrina decided to join us for some IROC fun so let the fun
begin . The cars were running Slot-It N22's and had plenty of grip becoming a point
and shoot race . Lots of close heats and plenty of side by side racing . Vic may of
had a late off in a early heat but it still came down to being the closest race of the
night with only 2 laps separating the Podium .

To Pat , To vic and To Ram jet

http://www.slotcarillustrated.com/po...1&d=1500853970

RACER SIDEWAYS GROUP 5 ; To the Series race , The track was in great shape for
both the King and IROC segments and held true for the nights finale . Lets face it
with the Group 5 cars theres much the other cars have for the M1's . Not much past
the rear axle and pretty wide track in the front of the car . So if your running a Lancia
Porsche or a Capri you have to push it pretty hard and thats just what we did . For
Vic even pushing , his car is lacking for me my car starts out ok in fact it runs strong
for the first 2 rotations or so . Then it has a couple Coy Corner type offs :node: like
how'd that happen . Even Roger had a formal introduction to the Coy Corner syndrome .

To RamJet , To Vic and To Pat
