Who could blame Daniel for not bothering to turn up for the last two races....

His 6th place in the standings is locked in - and he avoids another two rounds of mysterious heartbreak....

The actual start of the race was actually a bit of a let down from what could have been....

Cheers, Tony.

It's a little bit funny how all the glory seems to go with the driver's championship. But the big money is in the constructor's title, which is still within reach for Ferrari. Toto was concerned after Mexico about Mercedes' bad race. If one of the Mercs doesn't finish one of these last two races, due to an accident or a tired engine breaking, the title could quickly go over to the red cars.

It has been the most exciting F1 seasons in years. Lewis Hamilton (who has matured during this time) and is once again a world champion. Congratulations.

Once again, poor Ricardo, and poor Alonso.

Default I reckon ...

... that if they were racing slot cars, Alonso & Ricciardo would have enjoyed a much more successful season.

But no, they're not short of a dollar.

During P1 Viet Nam was mentioned for 2020 as a street circuit. Too bad from my perspective as most street circuits are without much passing.

Botas has yet to win a race this year. Do you suppose Hamilton or Toto Wolfe will give him an opportunity if he is second and Ham is ahead as a payback for earlier team orders?

This is sent from my MAC at home and if it works progress is occuring

Vietnam is bad news.

For Bottas to win he will need to beat the faster Ferrraris, starting on the better tyre

Oh, I'm willing to keep an open mind so long as it doesn't replace any of the classic european circuits. There's been a lot of thought put into the design.

Meanwhile, Brazil proved interesting - proving that it ain't just about who's the best driver, but an epic battle for the Constructor's Championship. Toto should take a bow.
