Default Looking for a track design

Heyya guys

As construction continues on my barn, I'm looking toward my favorite part of the build. The track room.

The room itself is planned to be 22X30. I'm hoping that it will be enough room for all of us fat guys to be able to get all the way around the track without having to take off our clothes and slather up with butter(I can only speak for myself here, but it would be a picture no one would want in his head).

I'm wanting a four lane track. As I'm sure some of you know that Carrera is the brand I own. I suppose a six laner would be cool but man, that would require even more room and a great deal of extra track.

From what I've read, it seems everyone has problems with Carrera banked turns. I was thinking that a r3/r4 banked turn would be fun, maybe a corkscrew. But I don't want any if it's going to cause everyone heartburn.

I'm hoping to get feedback from you guys, which includes honorary members like Lawrence(should he feel inclined to chime in). I'd like to have a track that will make the drive here worth the effort for those who wish. Needless to say, BRM races are a venue I'd like to share in.

Don't worry about what inventory I have, as any pieces that I don't have in sufficient numbers will be acquired as needed.

JW

I use Tracker 2000 software, so designs made with it would be easiest for me, but can recreate anything you guys feel sending my way

Smile Paging Zoom Beedo??

Jim Basel is the guy you want, designs some very good tracks and he uses Tracker 2000.
I have driven on Carrera 3/4 banks and they are fine, the problems occur with the tighter radius 1/2 banks.

Sorry guys, I was at Road Atlanta yesterday so didn't see this. I'll be happy to help as soon as I'm done with Jay Hardy's modification and George's initial design for his routed track. JW, I sent you a PM with some other info I could use.
