Default Wow that is an old photo.

When the Track was in Port Angeles.

132Slotcar Raceway now has 2 Tracks the 1/24-1/32 scale American Raceways 8 lane wooden track.
Also 4 Lane NINCO Track.

Right now we race 1/24 scale BRM cars on rubber tires on both tracks, plus Slot.it and NINCO Cup class cars on both tracks.

Saturday we race on the 8 lane track.

Mondays we are now racing Magnet Class cars on the NINCO Track, starting at 7.00 PM

See you at the Races.

Happy Holidays.

Default Staying in Sea-Tac area 10/8 & 9

I am going to be in the area on a work mission for 10 days next month, spanning the one weekend. I am free for the weekend and am looking for input on club racing in the area or anyone hosting an event or even needing help working on the 1:1 or something. I'll have a car and will be booking hotels later this week.

Anyone?

Cheers,

Dave

Was that the track at Port Angeles Slot Car Raceways on East First Street?

I used to do financial audits for the Coast Guard in the late '90s and they would send me all along the Pacific Coast from Alaska down to San Diego and out to Hawaii, Guam and Japan. I had just gotten into 1/32 slots and was in Port Angeles to do an audit of the Coast Guard Air Station there, staying for a few days at the Royal Victorian Motel. Imagine my surprise when I discovered there was a commercial slot car track just next door! Bruce Weicker was the proprietor - I know because I still have his business card.

Bruce also had a plastic 4-lane replica of Catalunya there - Scalextric, I think. I got to run on both tracks and had the opportunity to race with some of the locals one evening on the routed track. This photo brings back some old memories...

Default Sire was.

I helped Bruce set those tracks up while I was running Scalextric USA. Bruce worked for me before living his dream of opening his own raceway.
I helped him with both those tracks, and he was back racing on the track last weekend. In fact his team won the 4 hour endurance race.
