FW is only 30 miles away. I am looking to see if anyone has some used ones for less that the new cost of them. I am working on a kid project to upgrade a few GT 40's to add the 20k motor with some modified SSD chips.

You could try the H & R Hawk also at FW for $9.50. They're rated for 18K but tested close to 19K with more torque than the stock Scalextric motor.

The Yellow Scalex has poor brakes,so the H & R may be a good option.
