Is anybody going tonight, or should I open up the Green Monster?
You will need to call me, I want have time to check messages.
Hope you fell better Kris!
I re-built #21. That is to say, I pulled all the parts from other cars I had donated the #21 parts to and put her back together. Did some practice laps after work. I love the oval. Car was fast. Stuck in the corners. Wow.
I take it that the track is up and functioning? May stop by tomorrow for some practice laps and a chance to get my 14 car so I can break it in. Hopefully to do some racin' with it Thursday night.....
thursday morning and still know info if there is racing tonight, hmmm....
Don't know if I should make plans or do all the other stuff that always needs doing.
OK, so I am a one man thread.
We had some good clean door to door, bumper to bumper racing tonight, I had fun.
I was pleased with my cars, the Tide ride was perfect, a little off on power, The Valvoline machine was quick but stuttered the second half of the race, turns out the motor was falling out! The #18 was solid, might need a higher gear, but i like it on my road course so I think I will leave it alone.
Everyone drove great!
GP
Really a fun night! Some really close racing without the big hits. Times were close all night and so were the laps. I really liked the big oval, pits would have made it VERY interesting, maybe next time, but really liked the configuration and close racing.

I had the most fun in a race in ages. I brought only the car, no tool box or anything. Even the tires were old. Car handled great! Only de-slots were where someone else came off and hit my car but the marshalls were quit to re-slot it. I love the ovals, and so does the car. As of now, I have to 'road course' car and the current configuration is and 'RTO'. Finishing second was a surprise, and only a lap or two behind the winner (Chris K?). Hated that GP had lap-counting issues, as I'm certain he was several laps ahead (in spite of the counter). The second group running with magnets was interesting. Hard to believe the massive carnage they produced. Whew! Looking forward to next week!
Complicated tracks are fun, but as our skills re still progressing that simple r3 track produced good racing. It was fun that four of us were competitive and able to stay on track long enough to race. Like I said before everyone drove great.
