I find nothing suprising or statistically significant in these results.
The two biggest variables in this "comparison" are car setup and driver skill.
The only car related conclusion that can be drawn is,
Podded cars have an advantage over non-podded cars.
Racing is never about statistical significance. You can win by a length after 12 hours and still be "the winner" even though your win is statistically insignificant. But, declaring one manufacturer better than others would indeed require statistically significant results, if the statement were to be true. The sport of racing is not to be about "true" superiority in a statistical sense, as luck and a myriad other factors influence the results, and are accepted by all.
Winning itself is statistically significant provided all other variables are equal.
Would you conclude Audi's recent victories in the 24 hours of Lemans statistically significant, or luck?
The point is, unless you can attribute results to specific variables, there is no significance.

I'd say one variable was same for all, the cars all had to last 4 hours and continue to perform well. The times were similar which as pointed out is a credit to the teams, but cars react differently to extended running under severe conditions, I understand the motors and tires were same, but cars
do have their own driving quirks. Seeing a new company like Mr Slotcar was a surprise to me, only because they have one car and it was just released a few months back, and Avant seems to be more a rally car specialist.
If these results predict that Avant Slot will beat NSR and Slot.It in a preponderance of races, or even in races that resemble this one, the results are statistically significant by definition. But if each brand has an equal chance, and a series of races would show each brand winning with reasonably similar frequency, results of this race would be statistically insignificant.

This is true and I agree with you but there are those who will buy on Monday what won on Sunday.

so true....they jumped in at a high level and look to have a very bright future.
Nothing improves the breed like what we have going on in this Manufacturer's Championship challenge.
