Default Round 3 at Flying Cow Raceway

Folks,

June 30 has been set as the date for round 3 of the TLOR proxy here at Flying Cow Raceway. The cars have arrived safely, and the IHSR gang is anxiously anticipating driving 'em like we stole 'em

There is 10 bucks in the glove compartment of the Merc...in case you need juice.

Hey,

We're in Oregon, summer consists of rain every two days instead of everyday and us old fat, bald guys have nothing better to do than to race slot cars.

WOW, sounds like England. We are in a heat wave here 'Out East' so there are some good bike riding days.

Is the race still scheduled for the 30th?

Any practice/qualifying sessions before then?

Have a great time with our little race cars.

Default testing, testing

The race is indeed set for Saturday the 30th. The cars were all tested and run last night, just didn't have time to post about it. I'll try to get some thoughts and impressions up tonight. All in all, a nice bunch of cars! Looking forward to Saturday.

After a good run in the first two events, I am hoping for another!

Good Luck to all, I for one can hardly wait!

Default And the answer is....

Okay guys, the official results are in. We had a great time running the cars, well done to you all.

The normal IHSR / Flying Cow Raceway proxy racing format was followed. For each class of cars, a driver was assigned to a lane, where he remained for the entire class. The cars followed normal lane rotation. This results in the car being run for 12 minutes total, by 4 different drivers. It's very fair.

And without further delay, the results.

In order: position, car number, number of laps, fast lap time. The finishing order in case of the same amount of laps is then determined by track position.

Group "A"

1. #78, 72 laps, 8.839
2. #130 70 laps, 9.451
3. #32 70 laps, 9.390
4. #6 68 laps, 9.550
5. #26 65 laps, 10.319
6. #20 65 laps, 9.889
7. #19 64 laps, 10.209
8. #28 64 laps, 10.319
9. #45 60 laps, 10.770
10. #47 49 laps, 12.140

Group "B"

1. #36 87 laps, 7.691
2. #25 82 laps, 8.288
3. #128 82 laps, 8.082
4. #4 82 laps, 8.242
5. #35 82 laps, 8.128
6. #42 80 laps, 8.180
7. #24 79 laps, 8.507
8. #53 78 laps, 8.519
9. #23 77 laps, 8.730
10. #18 77 laps, 8.570

Thank to all involved in running this event. Congratulations to the other guys on the podium. Pleased with my third place with the old car. Hope it was easier to drive then the Cunningham Jim sent down here some years ago! That was a great car but they guys coud not harness it Horsepower on our tracks.

Good results for my Maser but I'm interested in what happened to my #2 Allard.

Are there any driver reports?

The #2 suffered from an extreme lack of traction. Nice car, smooth, but whatever it was shod with just didn't hook at all.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for runnin' the tank, looks like the extra tonnage isn't helping my results much on this round. Congrats to those on the podium.

Regards
