Here's the last of the pics and the end of my work on Dave's Anglia. I'm sure there will be more pics when he get's it all together and track worthy. It was great fun working on this beautiful little resin body. So much so that I'm going to do a Cheetah Roadster from George Turner soon. Sorry for keeping your car for so long Dave but I'm sure we'll have great fun racing with it on your track in the near future.
No, you don't need a new camera, you just have to set the macro mode on your Coolpix 4800 (the little flower icon). This camera has a minimum macro distance of less than 1/2 inch!
Here are some pics of the finished car. The George Turner kits comes with body, chassis, interior windows and tray. The body has the mounting pins for the chassis - pre-drilled! This model is the Broadspeed version so it sits low to the track. The wheels are Pendles with BWA minilite inserts, tires are Pendles (front) and homemade (rear). The motor is a NSR 22,000 rpm which is a little gusty in the corners but a blast on the straight. Pinion and crown are slot-it. Many thanks to Peter for the brillant paint and decals.
A friend of mine bought some of the cars used in the film "Grand Prix" and used some of the 1600 crossflow engines that were used in the "Grand Prix" cars into Anglia 105e cars. Lowered and better brakes etc. of course, and the famous 2000e gearbox. Went like rockets.
