Fastest lap Car No.8 Mmmoose1 4.708

Pretty much a trouble free run for all cars,I tried to do some repairs to the cars that needed it,only the 1 car, alas it didn't improve the car,I will contact Stubbo and Slo1 to see what they can suggest.

Some cars improved on their qualifying run, some didn't ,OLD23's car was an obvious example of how things can look so good after qualifying and somehow don't materialise in the race, your car just didn't get into stride,I felt it was starting to lose brakes,it certainly felt that way in my bracket.

Lims car had no brakes for the whole race,on all lanes.

Phil, your front wheel needs looking at,I lubed the thing at every opportunity but I still don't think its right, once freed up it went well,4.954 in the race.

just a silly pic of your drivers left to right,me,Rob,Steve.

I have said this in an earlier post, thanks to you car owners for giving us the opportunity to drive your cars, they were great!

I've got the chassis jig out and building is well under way fir the VRAA!

Terry

Thank you very much, Terry.
It looks like you have a great set up and a couple of good driving mates.

My car has had its best placing so far...I am happy about that.

Thanks again
John

Well done everyone.

Thanks Terry for hosting the round. Thanks also to Steve and Rob for helping out.

Congrats to Ken, Marek and Stu on the podium. Great to see one of our Canadian friends at the pointy end. Good Eh!

I'll update the main scoresheet when I get the full results.

The next round is in Adelaide and Lenny Broke will be the host.

Cheers

What a thing to wake up to. A win and fast lap for the BRM and our friend Marek on the podium with a Fergeson, well done man! Conrats to Stu on his podium finish.
Thanks Terry and your gang for a good race and timely reporting. Did you and the boys have fun racing?

Thanks for the run, Terry and guys. The BRM seems to be dropping down the ladder pretty quickly I must say. No brakes for the whole race on all lanes? That's a new one for me. I'm not sure what has happened as this was not noted in the previous rounds. Could it be that the Solarbotics is beginning to give up the ghost? There are, I believe, 3 more rounds to go, so hopefully, it can hold on to the end. And congrats to the guys on the podium!

Congrats to Ken, buddy Marek and Stu.

Many thanks to Newso and the Marsden Park gang.

I just knew I should have sprung for those high performance brake pads...

We had a ball,I asked the boys to bring their cameras to get some close up pics of some of the cars ,in the end I had to remind them that we are here to race,so lets get on with it!

Lim,I practiced your car throughout the week and although it was a little "nervous" I had no inkling of brake issues, come raceday I almost straight away saw a issue emerging,I think the motor may be the thing but I would hesitate to say for sure because it may be a diiferent story at the next venue.

OLD23,I feel for you, your car was a goer, however I think it took a while for the drivers to feel comfortable with the car,it is a little different to the others as it takes a while to settle into the drive, when your car arrived on my lane I was okay with it and punched out a fair number, maybe because I had run the car already during the week and knew the little nuances of the car(I like that word).

Mareks car was a blast, apart from the other cars a front engined car was sort of like a dinasaur, but it hooked up from day 1 and in practice got into 4.7 something which was a serious lap around my place,it just wanted to go faster and you could push hard ,a very forgiving car.

Yes folks we thoroughly enjoyed the drives, lets hope it gets Steve and Rob keen into having a go at scratch building.

Terry

It was with a heavy heart that I bade farewell to the Tasman cars this morning, all packed and ready for the trip to Semaphore Park, its been a very short stay for your visit to Anna Bay,we all hope you enjoyed your time here,we certainly enjoyed your company, hope you come back next year!

I'm told that your trip to Semaphore Park should be 4 business days, bon voyage.
