Default Round 6 nsr classics sweenvill

ROUND 6 NSR CLASSICS SWEENVILL

After a great day in the sun the south , south enders headed north to Sweenvill for the 6th Round
of the NSR Classics . It was the typical spread at sweenvill , Baked goods , Chips , Soda ,Beer and
Coffee . With an early arrival everyone had time to get good and sugared up , ready to run.
For the IROC race Shawn decided to roll out his Carrera 1960 Plymouth Fury's ranging From Lee Petty's
NASCAR the to a little later version of the hot headed Christine , to this Black beauty .

Shawn's spent a little time on these cars , slamming them to the ground . I don't know if it did anything
for the performance or not but they sure look cool . He left all the magnets in , good thing there
could have been injuries . Each car seemed to have a special place on the track where it liked to loop
or fishtail out . As we all took our turns , Greg managed to , not come out as often as the rest of us
and stand at the top of the Podium . Greg's finish really tightened up the IROC standings .

In the Series Race Shawn started out right where he left off in his last outing with the club . His
Orange P68 Monster lapped me six times in the first heat . Most of us were running in the mid 5's
Shawn was dippin it to the 4's . What can you say . The car is a beast , I'm sure being at home
helped a bit as Shawn managed to stay in the slot a little more often than he did at Tim's .
But then theirs that Vic guy theirs always that Vic guy . I think he came out once or twice but
still managed to pull off the win . Thats what happens when Roger's not a round to keep people
honest .

Thanks to Shawn & Jeff for their always great hospitality .

Next week an old course at a new venue as Roger Ram Jet host his first race I hope he knows

Default Fossumhime is up and running

WELCOME TO FOSSUMHEIM

Yes , Fossumheim is up and running . Tables are bolted and level , Track is together
and smooth , current is consistent all around the course ( for now anyway ) . We
hooked up the Power , Lap counter and Stop and Go boxes a couple nights ago , timing
and scoring was finished tonight . Thanks for the help Greg .

Monday will be Fossumheim's Inaugural race . I hope to see ya all there

Pat

I'll bring the layout print I came up with, too. With just a few track packs, we can finally get equal lane lengths on that track.

Cattle Prod !!! - Sicko's

If an old , one good legged fart like me can get up there you guys shouldn't
have any problems . Getting Down How your base jumping skills ?
Roger just had surgery on his racing arms elbow yesterday but he's pretty
resilient . Who knows he might have something up by then . If not , charge
it up Shawn .

Default Round 7 nsr classics fossumheim

ROUND 7 NSR CLASSICS FOSSUMHEIM

It was a night of first's at the inaugural race for FOSSUMHEIM . Not only
the race itself but after 7 years of racing we finally coaxed Alan out of the
shop to come race . It was nice to see Alan just having fun racing instead of
running everything and having to M C the event . I think he had a good time .
We had a first time weekly race winner and a first time series winner. Last but
not least I think it was the first time I've seen a young boy polish off a package
of Double stuff Oreos in 20 minutes or less . (Good job Trevor) he had a little help .

We started the night off running Rogers Slot - It Alfa 333's . Great little car's . With
some close battles along the way . Unlike most other races if you make a mistake
you have a chance to make it up . Last night if you came out you were done . Greg
didn't and stood on the top step of the podium . Winning his second race in as many
weeks , he also walks away with his first Series Championship

To Greg To Vic and To Roger

On to the NSR's , It was another fun close race with lots of side by side racing . Vic
was consistent as usual , Greg was fast , Tim and I were right in the mix . At the
end it was another first timer . John Q with his first race win great job John .

Thanks to everyone for making the Club and this Series a success

Well the end of EMSA's second series , looks like we need to work
on giving Vic a little more competition . With the next series being
the CARRERA CAN AM cars anything can happen .

Thanks to Roger for all his hard work , even getting the stairs up for the race .

Next week PATLANTA for the first race of the CAN AM Series Also the introduction of the Rally Stage Series a new segment in the club
