Hi guys, received the cars yesterday, will unpack today and try to qualify them in the next couple of days. My plan is to run the race over this weekend.

Question Help !!

Started unpacking cars, first car out was Ronan's Alfa with the sticky note about the stripped crown gear. I have plenty of crown gears but his axle figures .251. All my crowns fit .238 axles. It also appears that the wheels are plastic (must be CA glued on) I dont want to break any wheels and I have no crown gear to fit. I could put different bushings in with my axle and crown and use a pair of set screw wheels with Ronan's tires (tires on his car are not glued although it looks like they were glued at one time.

I don't have a problem doing this but I need Monte and /or Ronan to advise me ASAP.

Howdy Jack. Let's see what Ronan has to say, otherwise I'll make a decision.

Those wheels are press fit and will pull off with a good tug. Just don't twist them, as the axle has a machined flat spot that they are keyed to.

Ronan has PM'd me requesting no repairs to his car. So I will mark it up as DNS.

Red face Race to date

Hey guy's , much too hot to finish this race today, will complete it tomorrow or Tuesday. I have run the Green lane two times for a total of 6 minutes. The results are in the attached spreadsheet.
I still have to run the Yellow lane and, as the cars have not been on Yellow, this could be the "wild card" in the outcome.

To date, only 1 foot separates 1st #38 & 2nd place #11. The 3rd place car # 22 is just 6 feet off the pace. A lot of great cars with some very close lap totals throughout.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the finish

Jack

Thank you Jack!

With the temperature in Mesa exceeding 100 degrees today this is indeed above and beyond proxy racing call of duty!

I am hoping that my car can remain in the top ten, and just maybe a top eight, just maybe!

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the results.

Thank you again for bringing us this event.

Your # 3 car is 20' in front of kidvoltage. Close but, we'll just have to see how it plays out

Just getting ready to run the final on Yellow. It's 6:50 AM and already getting "warm"

Stay tuned.............

Jack
