i visited Dom's Raceway last night in Cream ridge, NJ. Dom and his son Jimmy are part of the C.A.R.S. Vintage slot car club based in The Race Place, and they hold their monthly meetings on The Red Lightning Track that we race BRM cars on. Dom and Jimmy have thier own Hillclimb track (a vintage track that has been restored to perfection!!) in the basement of their house, a legitimate commercial raceway! They both track tested my Scaleauto Porsche, and loved it! That car and my BRM Porsches perform perfectly on Dom's Hillclimb. We discussed NJ SCALE Racing holding future races at Dom's track, and he is all for it, as well as Dom plans to order cars and to join in our club's monthly races!
So i hope we can get more racers for this month's race, as we have this exciting news for the future of our club's racing program. Also at Dom's Raceway last night were the members of the C.A.R.S. Vintage club, and all of them have raced with us,. some have cars, some borrowed loaner cars. Expect to see some Vintage club racers join in with us at both The Race Place and at Dom's Raceway.
I track tested my TSRF car, and that too handled perfectly on Dom's hillclimb. We have yet to start racing BRM Meganes, so as more racers get that car, expect to see added SCALE classes to our racing program.
Also- stay tuned for an official announcement regarding our first BRM Challenge race. This is in the works, just need to set a final date, much coordinating needs to be finalised first. If we can get the BRM and Scaleauto racers from the surrounding Tri-state area (and beyond), we can make this an annual New Jersey event!
For all of this to be successful i just need one thing: racers to make all of these races, the more racers, the more FUN for all involved!
next race: Saturday July 14 at Dom's Raceway, 21 Jonathon Holmes Rd, Cream Ridge, NJ 08514, not far from Great Adventure. This will be our first club race there, so let's show Dom (raceway owner, and newest club member) our full support!

...hopefully the new secretarty can spell secretary
Glen are we done racing at The Race Place? I wont be able to make this race in July because it will take me two days to get down there due to the distance and shore traffic. Do we now have three places we are racing at?
At this rate I might as well drive to Tacoma Washington to get some BRM and ScaleAuto action in.
Hey Brian, good hearing from you. We're still going to hold races at The Race Place, this race at Dom's is just another location where we're sharing the "gospel of BRM and Scale Auto 1/24."
Instead of driving to Tacoma, we're planning to hopefully bring Tacoma to you next month. Planning for a 'Regional Event Weekend' in mid-September to be held at the Race Place. Check your e-mail for info I sent earlier today.
i hired a new secretary, and spelling has been corrected
Hi Brian, as Robert stated, no we are not done racing at The Race Place. Dom roselli and his son will join in to race Scaleauto with us. Dom also owns and operates Dom's Raceway in Cream Ridge NJ, so we will have a race at that raceway, seeing as that Dom bought 2 cars to race with us. This also gives us a completely different type of a track to race on (a perfectly restored vintage american Hillclimb that is SMOOTH as glass!). This gives us more options to keep our racing fresh and new, and will add more potential racers from Dom's Raceways group of regular racers.
So what we are doing is seeing our SCALE racing group grow here in New Jersey. More involved raceways, more racers, and hopefully more raceways stocking BRM and Scaleauto cars and parts, which will attract more racers as well.
As always, good to hear from you, and looking forward to your return to racing with us.
ps- have my latest car ready forit's first race: BRM Toyota. will start with no added weights at the Dom's Raceway race, and tune from there.
