1/32 scale car sets run on AC.. that's what the tracks run on.. Check your track's transformer output and read.

Which ones? None of mine run on AC. They all have DC motors.

Yes but, doesn't the track section the AC transformer plugs into convert the AC to DC?

Scalextric does the AC to DC converstion at the track. All the other brands take AC from the wall and convert to DC at the walwart.

White Lake F1 Ring is an AC2Car track. Kind of a half step to Digital. AC2Car does infact run on AC

The cars still have DC motors.
Just like the old 2-wire Scalextric, the cars have no brakes...

You can see the diode wired in to his motor on the 908/3 they have apart. I know the producer of this item and sent him a big 'thank-you'. Really worth a look. Thanks for pointing this out, Marek.
