How do you post pics again?

Once again I can't figure out how to post pics in this forum? What's the secret?

There are two methods: attachment to post (for small images only) and by linking to another website, somewhere, that hosts the photo (any size image).

Why not use your Gallery? You already have 14 Albums created in it!

(Note also though that if using Internet Explorer - but not with Chrome or any of that stuff - a lot of images can be easily copied/pasted into SCI with a couple clicks of your mouse and two windows open at the same time.)

Paul, is there a trick to moving pics from your gallery to a posting? I have tried several different ways to do it, but none worked. I finally got success, can't remember how, and a week later I checked and the pics were gone again. I just tried by copying the URL from my gallery and pasting, but I got an error message. Is there a post that walks one through this?

Okay -thanks for the help! I switched to Chrome and that was my problem (among many). I could get them in my album but from there I couldn't get them onto the forum using Chrome. Using Explorer I can just copy and paste from my album.

1) from your gallery, click on a picture you want to put in a post.

2) scroll down below the picture, and copy the "bb code"

3) paste the bb code into your post.

FYI, the "bb code" is essentially the URL flanked by [img] and [/img]. so if you want to post a picture from somewhere else on the internet, just copy the url (which you can find by doing a right click with your cursor on the image, then go to properties and copy the address) and paste that URL into your post but surround it with [img] on the front end and [/img] on the back end.

for example typing this (without the spaces)...

[img] http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/image...ncia-D50_2.jpg [/img]

becomes this...

Thanks everyone for your help. Boopie's method works well. Thanks Mike. I use an Imac, and don't have an external picture file like Flickr or Photobucket. I figured out how to transfer picture files from iPhoto on my Imac to my gallery on SCI, but this now helps me to paste them into postings. If I forget before the next need to do it, I'll just look back in my posting history and re-read it.
