Default Tasman Cup Prize Pool

With the Tasman cars now across the Tasman and in New Zealand ahead of round 3 we thought we would bring you up to date on the prize pool. Yes we have some prizes.

Firstly we would like to extend a huge thank you to Mark Burgess of SlotRaceShop in New Zealand. Mark has kindly donated NZ$400 worth of gift vouchers from his shop. Thanks Mark for such generous support.

Phil Kalbfell has also donated 4 of his Tassie Resins body shells. They are of cars of the early 60’s GP era. Thanks Phil for your generosity.

The winner of the series will receive a $100 voucher from SlotRaceShop.

We are still working out the other details and are hoping that we may be able to add some other prizes to the pool. We will keep you updated as we go along.

Hi Sluggo

I think I can convince the 1UP guy to supply the last place finisher a VRAA legal rolling chassis so he can get one up on the competition next year.

Thanks to all the guys who put up the prizes, it is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Ken and please pass on our thanks to the 1UP guy.

Is there a pic anywhere of a sample chassis that I could put up on the Aussie Forum?

Default 1 Up chassis

Stubbo,

You, or rather the current race host, has a couple of them in hand.

Cheers,

Mark

Great sounding prizes for both ends of the field.

Not that I'll see any of them, mired as I am in the midfield.

Due to the generosity of all the sponsors it would be nice to ensure that everyone can come away with something. That's what we will be aiming for.

Thank you Mark, Phil and Ken for stepping up to offer up these great prizes !

Stu and I have been discussing the distribution of the prize pool and how we could achieve the best outcome with what we have. We wanted to try and see if we could share the love with as many participants as possible.

Our prize pool comprises

$400 worth of vouchers from SlotRaceShop in New Zealand
4 Tassie Resins body shells (Ferrari 158, 2 x Porsche 804 and a Brabham BT3)
Brabham BT3 body shell from Stubbo
and a 1UP chassis for the last placed car.

So what we have decided on at this stage is the following;

The Judges Choice prize of $50 has already been won by Munter.

Series Prizes

First Place $100 voucher

Second Place $75 voucher

Third Place $50 voucher

4th place through to 13th place will receive a choice of either a $25 voucher or a resin body shell.

Lucky Last will recieve the 1UP VRAA chassis.

As it stands nearly every competitor will receive something. If we can find some more prizes then hopefully every one can be a winner.

With the series about to head into the final two rounds I just wanted to update the prize pool information.

I have cast one of my Brabham BT3 shells to add to the pool. So now competitors finishing from 4th to 13th will receive the choice of either a $25 voucher or a resin body shell.

I have updated the details above.

Thanks again to our sponsors and good luck to everyone for the last two races.
