Default Craigslist score. Complete vintage Revell set

Hey guys! Found this on craigslist and went and picked it up today. I got a VERY good deal on it I believe. The set is complete down to the fuel barrel. Even came with the original manual. The cars are both Revell. The Aston Martin is original to the set. The Mustang I'm not sure about. It has a plastic chassis with a ladder type bracket attached to the pickup. The mustang runs good, the DB-5 needs a bit of fiddling. It runs but has no traction and barely makes it around the track.

I just thought I'd share it with you guys. As I'm building a routed track right now, not sure what I'll do with this yet. But for now I enjoyed running some of my other cars on the cool vintage track.

Cool,Cool.
The owner definitely took good care of their toys !
My first set was an Eldon, but I remember buying a Revell Camaro ('67 or '68) to run. That car was way better than the Eldons! Think it cost about $7.00....that was a lot of money for a 11 year old
Enjoy !
Are you going to put new tires on and keep them stock?

Great Find!

I believe the correct chassis is 81522.

I have the Silver one that I got from evil-bay and fixing the mods done to it to bring it back to original.

The mustang looks good but is wrong For that kit.

Also, each thumb controller matches the color of the car, so if you have a red and green controller, you should have a red and green car.

That should help with what color is the missing car.

Ps. Look up my threads I have a spreadsheet of Revell parts, numbers, and kits.

Thanks for all the help and input guys. The manual says it should have the Mercedes and the controllers are indeed red and green. So I guess it should be a red mercedes as the DB-5 is green.

The Aston Martin is a metal chassis. The Mustang is plastic. It is marked Revell. Is it a newer car? I will check out your spreadsheet and see what I can dig up.
